Android has huge text messaging bugs?

I'm not sure, but both my WinMo and Android devices eventually had out of order text messages. I researched the bug and I read somewhere that it had to do with timestamping.
 
This is the first I've heard of this but I'll bet my brother had this problem. He was trying to text his girlfriend and ended up getting his boss instead. It wasn't enough to cause problems but it wasn't something he should have sent.
 
I still haven't experienced any of this, but I've been using Handcent on my Thunderbolt too. Could be missing text messages from people, if they aren't coming through, but thats hard to keep track of unless the person sending it asks why you didn't respond?
