ok guys check this out the total of my old fleet could do around 800 dps a day... butya all lucky i don't have that fleet anymore.. so just to ask how many can some of you ppl do?

It's hard to tell since I'm still getting everything set up properly. The right overclocks etc. I still have another system on order and one to put together. Haven't been able to bablance overclocks with uptime yet but if everything would stay up I would guess around 500/24hrs

Increasing my output by 250% isn't difficult when there's not much allocated to ECCp to begin with. My production level for each of the other projects remains constant. ;)

This is cool!

Keep us non-ECCp guys updated on stats :D (Even I have 670 DPs to my name, its just that ECCp isnt my main project)

You had two machines to begin with, how many do you have now? 6?

We warned you about Rich ;):D

so far, he's only been able to nearly match me for speed - with two of my units down all night. He won't catch up that way. I have a feeling that he'll pull as many units as he needs to to win this one.

I'm not sure how many people would consider it "cool" but it takes all kinds ;) heh heh.

I just got a phone call about a "scheduled" power outage on my block this evening - power will supposedly be off from 5pm to 10pm this evening. :|

So much for my efforts to not finish pathetically behind in the race. :disgust:

I feel a tad guilty about him having 5 hours of downtime due to power outage. It's not like it was the result of overclocking or something. SO in the interests of fairplay I'm closing ECCP down for 5 hours tonight. I've still got a bit in queue ready to be sent out but nothing will be processed further. Last night my 1st and 3rd best producers locked because of extreme overclocking and had about 8 hours of downtime. I've scaled it back a bit and they seem stable now. I'm letting em rest for 5 hours but don't worry, when that period of time is up, all pistons will be firing. Oh that reminds me, I've just "acquired" three more pistons :) (thanks Mike for finding such good "deals" on some older PCs...heh heh)
P1 Pro 200 - 90,000 iterations per second...
P2 450 - 195,000 iterations per second...
P3 700 - 320,000 iterations per second...
good luck!

BTW my voluntary downtime is not an act of complacency. I know full well that if you wanted to in the last 6 hour run you could turn 100 systems on me and maybe pull ahead. I have ever intention of putting as much distance between us to prevent that ;) The run for the end zone will be between 10pm and 6:45 am I believe.
Good luck.

Woah there cowboy! What happened to that hour and half of downtime that from the power outage in this six hour measurement? It doesn't seem to be accounted for...HMMMMM He must have put more machines on the task!! Sweet!

He outproduced me 72 units to 50 in this window. You're going down. Oh yeah...

Checking in from work.. I called my neighbor and he says there's trucks on the next street over, but the power hasn't gone out yet.

FlorianRed: YGPM

Will(neighbor) called and says the power went out. :(

Right now my PCs are the least of my concerns - without power the heater for my waterbed isn't going to working and the bed ain't quite made it up to warm yet! :Q I guess keeping the extra blankets on bed for a while longer would be a good idea. ;)

After some SETI scrambles I'll race with ya again. :)

I'm projecting that the race will end at 6:45am tomorrow morning.

With the adition of my new cylendars, I'm changing the prediction to 12:45 tonight or 1:45 when the update shows. I've got it overclocked like crazy but I'm here to keep an eye on it. You realize that they had to upgrade the power on your block because of all your PCs, don't you :)

Well, I guess the race is over. Thanks for racing me. I know that you weren't able to dedicate as many machines as you would have liked to this race but it was still worth while for sure.
I was able to fine tune my machines in the spirit of competition. My stats now just blow away what I was doing before. If the last 6 hour stretch were to be maintained, I'd be doing 676 points per 24 hours. 4723 points per week.
You were able to increase production by almost three times and the whole thing certainly benefitted the team.
When you sped up I had a lot of work to do to keep ahead and learned a lot from the thinkering.
Getting that 1000 in the 11th hour before the deadline was tough but fun as anything.
I know my Bud Mike just started cracking because of this race and he might even stick with it who knows.
Hopefully you'll be able to keep those extra machines you put together going for the team.
My offer still stands for that SETI thing. I believe most of my machines would be much better suited for that kind of thing. You know where to find me.
I hope I get the opportunity to race you again when you're willing to dedicate more resources to the effort.
Don't wait too long though. I'm increasing my horsepower on a weekly basis.
Those durong 1300s are cheap and fast. Heck, if Athlon XPs keep dropping in price and getting down to the "free with donation to food bank" prices I might start buying them instead.
If you DO wait too long, you might find you won't be able to catch me with everything you've got :)
I finally have enough room to breath and have some downtime. My production will drop off slightly now as I do some software/hardware maintenance and upgrades.
A great experience and good luck next time!

I guess someone hasn't seen the pics from networkman's basement
Great spirit FlorianRed....but...buwhahahahahahaah!
My advice - don't call out the master of the dualies!
Tweety Bird voiceOoooooh, FlorianRed just don't know, do he?/end Tweety Bird voice

To you guys I say this: PFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFT! (image of thumb to nose wiggling fingers in the air)

I think FlorianRed should have to race him in F@H and RC5 at the same time to make things fair

Next time hopefully he won't be obligated in other areas. Next time I'll have more hardware and be more ready too :)

Opps. I just edited the first post. I had the score backward. It showed networkman hitting 1000 first. OOPS! :/

If you really like to race maybe you should put seti on some of those machines and have Od hook you up with a race or two. I'ld kinda like to see what what my little pack could do against yours. :)

How about racing Networkman again, say for 5000 work units? Or for 2 weeks?

That would give both of you a good chance to fine tune your herds. :D

I'm up for it. I just produced 191 units in 6 hours. That's more than the whole anandtech federation put together. I'm finally tuned up.
