Well Red Sox Fans, its that time of the year, End of August and you know what that means. That's Right. It's that fun time of the year when our beloved Red Sox get there Shizzle together and take the remaining 6 weeks of the year off.

O well at least the local Saugus Little League kids have a shot of going all the way (and don't need a $120 million dollar payroll) this weekend, and the Patriots are starting pretty soon. Also, its pretty funny that whenever the Sox start to blow it every time this year, the NFL starts back up again, and by that time I could care less about the Sox.

And that's my $0.02
 
At least they spare you the agony of making it into the postseason every year and then losing like little bitches. I swear the Braves are the most annoying team in the world in that respect. :|
 
they are 1 game out.
traditionally, they do fold like cheap suit most years.
personally, i think they will be in it til the bitter end, with either Oak,Sea, or Bos taking the wildcard.
the division is a stretch, improbable...not impossible.

I'm an Oakland fan, but we've got a couple of hurt pitchers and our offense is downright terrible. We've been playing OK but Boston is still in it. The Sox have one of the best-hitting lineups in baseball.

You know, what is the deal with the Braves? Haven't they made it to the playoffs for like 13 years in a row (it seems?) but then, THEY ALWAYS CHOKE!!. That really does blow, when it seems like you have the pieces, but get knocked off easily.

Perhaps the NL East is just a weak division, one that is just very easy to get to the top of if your the Braves? I don't know. I'm definitely not an expert, just talking out of my ass.

ONLY 2 Games back out of wild card. We may not catch Yankees but we are not mathematically out of the playoff race.

Our GM wasn't so smart was he? Suppan, Kim were all busts.

If this team doesn't make the postseason this year, we will have to start cutting payrolls and use our own farm system.

Suppan sucks. Why the f%&@ did we get him? I knew he was a bust from the beginning. Same thing goes for Kim.

i think Kim would be better suited as a starter.
too late to stretch him out now.
he hasnt been a total bust(check out how shea is doing lately)
now Mendoza and "weed" otoh

At the time I thought Mendoza was a good pickup. He did a good job for the Yanks before his injury, and I was sorry to see him go.
