If that were the case then I might agree with you. AB/INBEV is using its ownership in the distribution channel, and its size to "entice" distributors to limit the shelf space given to smaller brewers by offering rebates in the hundreds of thousands of dollar range. Effectively limiting the successes of those little brewers, you know the ones like Lagunitas, 10 Barrel, Elysian, Four Peaks and the like. Without the ability for those, at one time small startups, to have shelf space in the big distributors they would have stayed small, and not be an issue for AB. So instead of waiting until the owners are ready to hand over the keys for a few million, AB is trying to make it so that no little guy can get big. If your OK giving your hard earned cash to a company that is hell bent on destroying the little guy, have at it, not this guy. When a company gets so fucking big that its marketing company creates a super bowl ad ridiculing a product they make, I think they might be just a bit to big.
