Actually, he speaks directly to Americans through Twitter and YouTube, bypassing those that twist his words and spread fake news.

For the record, this order is meaningless now. It targeted those already on their way to the US before the ban was issued. Those people ultimately were not deported. Anyone coming here from those countries now will be deported. There is nothing stopping that.

If Trump was speaking to the majority of Americans, the media would likely be on his side.
What the media does isn't a conspiracy. Their job is to sell copy, and they do that by giving their readers the news that they want to see. If that news is critical of the President (any President), that is because the President isn't speaking to those people. BTW, I was frequently critical of Obama for not speaking to the Fox news crowd.

The fuck you on? As you pointed out, the Media is trying to sell to the people, the majority of which did not vote for him. No way in hell would he have the majority of the media on his side when the majority of people are not. This is not about bias either. The media has a self interest to give the people that watch what they way, and out side of fox that is anti Trump. Just like when Obama was in office, Fox was anti Obama.
 
Mr Trump interviewed with the media last week and had the opportunity to speak to the people. He was questioned about this very issue, and he made the decision to blow it off. "I have a big heart.. a really big heart" is what he said. And 2 days later, we saw just how big his heart really is.

OK, I have to say that the ~dozen times this study was posted in the pop media last week, it is completely sensational. Any rodent would eat their young if they judge that resources aren't optimal for bringing them to maturity (poor nutrition the number one culprit). Biology is a resource-intensive game, and giving birth is the biggest resource sink there is. rodents are pretty good at harvesting those potentially lost resources if they see lean times ahead, to prepare for a more favorable feeding period.

I am supremely confident that if Trump had decided to appeal to the majority of the voters, instead of just continuing to pander to his base, that the media would have found their way to his side.

It seems pretty plain to me that he was saying that if Trump had opted to aim for unity, and was trying to reconcile with people that didn't support him, the media would be supportive of him.

No. You cannot run as hyperbolic of a campaign as he did and then turn around and get the Media back. Once he one the election the way he did, it was over. If the people liked him, the Media would like him because it would make them money. People cant like him because of what he represents.
