My old roomate was a music tech major. he'd have music analysis classes that would get shortend on his schedual/transcript as:

classical anal
jazz anal

etc.

Yeah...I remembering giggling years ago when my freshman schedule said "Linear Algebra and Geometric Anal."

Why they chose to leave every long word alone except for "Analysis" is beyond me...
