My old roomate was a music tech major. he'd have music analysis classes that would get shortend on his schedual/transcript as:

classical anal
jazz anal

etc.

Yeah...I remembering giggling years ago when my freshman schedule said "Linear Algebra and Geometric Anal." 😕

Why they chose to leave every long word alone except for "Analysis" is beyond me...
