Well, this just got interesting. I still have not gotten my SS gift so I contacted Jeff to find out what's going on. Jeff contacts my SS and gets the tracking numbers. Both tracking numbers indicate that the packages were delivered on the 24th. One by FedEx and the other by UPS.

The only problem was they were delivered to a different address than my current one. That would be my previous address where I had so many issues with my landlord. So I'm trying to think if I put my old address down when I was filling out the form. I'm pretty good with those things and haven't lived at that residence in 5 months but anythings possible.

So I just got a message from Jeff and he made the mistake. Accidentally he gave my SS my info from last year. So now we got the issue of how do we get these packages back? I sure as hell am not going to go there and ask. Ideas anyone?

Do you still have a number? Maybe Jeff (since he made the mistake) can call and try to work something out?

We have the tracking numbers. I don't know who my SS is though. I'm guessing that my SS will have to call the retailer or their CC company to fix it. But if the items were purchased locally I don't know if anything can be done. Aside from possibly calling the police.

Contacting the shipping carrier(s) is another route. Never know, could go and ask I suppose, some people are more honest. I doubt the police would do anything unless a crime was committed.

Technically if you get something in the mail that is not addressed to you then you should return it to the sender. I was under the impression that if you open it up then it is a federal offense
 
Funny you brought up the issue of old and new address TangoJuliet. I can swear I put down my new address in this year's entry. But the SS gift was sent to my old address. Good thing it's my brother's address. Makes me wonder how the SS database info was stored.

As much as I appreciate the guys for doing this - what is the point of filling out that form if you aren't going to use the info. Does your likes/dislikes get transferred over or do you just use what was initially filled out??

Seems to me that this was unintentional; thus there's no reason for double question marks!!
 
one of the reasons i wanna know who my secret santa is is because the gloves i got are too big and i was wondering if he could tell me where he got them so i can exchange them for a smaller size. love the hell out of the gloves, but i just wish they'd fit lol

Well, there's at least 2 people that had things shipped to the wrong address. Not trying to point fingers but just curious as to why the form wasnt being used.

The form was being used. We do use your newest submitted information but your old information also appears when we do a search for your AT name. It is stored in a gmail account and the submissions are marked with a label for the year. It was an honest mistake. Both items were shipped from Amazon. I have sent the information to your secret santa as there isn't much I can do since I didn't make the order. I'll let you know as soon as I hear something back. Your SS was Karsten.

Thanks. I appreciate it. Like I said I'm not trying to blame anyone. Mistakes happen. Maybe next year we can check a box noting that our address has changed from a previous year or something.
 
Ill try to post the list Monday. At least my portion of it. I've had to work a bunch of overtime this month and working all weekend as well. Again all we ask for is patience. In years prior we always gave a few extra days after Xmas for the late shippers.

Haha tell her sorry, the first box was supposed to arrive before Christmas and the second box after Christmas, but I think they showed up at the same time 😀
