I do suppose I was a bit vague, maybe I was hoping to be surprised by something random, but still surprised nonetheless. BTW, in your nice handwritten letter you mentioned a Newegg gift card, If you had sent that already, I did not receive it.

Come to think of it, I don't know if you even have it! lol Its listed under my Heatware listed down there in my sig though. Again, thank very much oh great Secret Santa person and Happy Holidays to you! I hope everything gets theirs in time!

My secret santa was amazing this year. I received this huge tower of chocolate O_O. Will post pictures later.

Thank you secret santa!

I received my gift, I have not posted a pic yet though, been quite busy.

I received a very nice hard cover book on the history of the Shelby Cobra. It should be a great read. Thanks SS!!!

I'm very upset at my naughty receipient because he still hasn't posted a picture of my gift yet.

He could be one of the few that decides to wait until Xmas before he opens his/hers. I know that's what I always do although in this case I won't have the option to open it before then since I still haven't received it yet.

Yay secret santa!! i super :wub::wub: my gifts!

I will post pics as soon as my camera finishes charging.

Thank you!!!!!11one!!1 😀

A Roku 2 is EXACTLY what I needed!

THANKS SECRET SANTA!!!!!!

I guess you must have seen me complaining about my POS Logitech Revue giving me trouble and decided to take action. Good job all around.

As for my man in Ireland: I sincerely apologize for not doing a proper secret santa, but I assumed if I had it mailed to me and repacked it, the box would never make it to you in time. I can only hope direct from Amazon.uk worked out alright.

OH, and since the other threads got closed:

I received 1200 dollars from the government in checks, which of course is totally useless at 6pm on Christmas Eve.
Mom gave me 200 in cash, and 300 in gift cards, plus some post-its. I put them all over the cash.
Oh, and one of those portable speakers, with the thump-thump.

I got her a day at the spa, and a new amp and speakers to go with her TV. Last year when I got it she said it was nice, but a week later was complaining about the crappy audio. I put one of my old amps on the thing and it was good, but the volume knob and remote control both mysteriously broke after 6 months or so.
Replaced it with my old speakers from storage (which I was smart enough to keep around) and a new amp from Pyle. She didnt want me to buy her anything.

Damn.
Roku 2 doesnt work.

Unit boots up, remote gets nothing. Batteries are 1.51 volts each. Must be an RF problem or something along those lines. Shame. I can see the Connect screen, staring at me in colorful HD, just begging to be played with.
Gonna have to ask for an RMA. Dont even know how to do it with a secret santa.

Give it a minute

Unplug the unit from power and let it sit for 5 minutes. For sure check the batteries but Roku's have a habit of taking a minute to work..especially on boot up.

If the power cycle doesn't work, mash on the * button or the back button about 20 times.

Its common but its not dead. Once you get it working, it shouldn't happen again.

If that doesn't work, I have Roku XS, yours for free. I got a surface RT with HDMI out, no longer use my Roku. Had the Revue, was a piece of crap sometimes, I feel your pain.

Yea I traded my Revue off. I really didn't like the interface. I love my Roku's interface, just hate how buggy the remote can be. I use the Android app and I have zero complaints now.

Guess what? YOU AINT GETTIN SUCKED TODAY!

😡

Oh, and I was fine with the Revue until the Netflix App started messing up. And of course since its stripped down Honeycomb, I cant fix it. No way to uninstall & reinstall. No OS updates. Kind of a waste of Android actually.
Since Netflix was my main reason for having it, I am now looking for a replacement. I do love the keyboard, but really its not essential.

Chill

Pull the batteries, check your wifi signal (don't know why that messes up the remote but it does). and reset the Roku again.

Stand right in front of it and mash on home, back, * a bunch of times. It will work if you remembered to put batteries in the remote 🙂
