NICE nighstand! Do you have any more pics you can put up of the TJ-08, I coudln't really follow the water loops. Are those hydor pumps?

Aigomorla'll delete this later but, I've got four on the way to replace four WD500AAKS in my HTPC and I can't wait. Now I just have to figure out what to do with the old drives...

Looks very good tweakin! don't downplay a nice build like that. They don't all have to be monster builds with over the top hardware and cooling. I've come to apreciate a nicely laid out and functionally clean build.

clean setup, triple rad and simple loops. very efficient. well done fitting a triple rad in that case. who stole the hard drives, funny!

Like the case, I toyed with the idea of a see-thru acrylic case, but I just couldn't bring myself to do it. Clean your room 🙂

The pumps are DB-1 compacts, from when they first came out, they're not labeled in any way so you would have to call them no-names!
I added some TJ pics, those pics are before I split the loop so it is a dual rad, dual pump, single loop. Sorry for the confusion, my bad, I split the loop but those pics are before. The single loop order was like this-
CPU > T-line > pump > 120.1 rad > vid > T-line > pump > 120.2 > back to CPU

Currently I'm building an old kingwin case and really putting the hack to it. The TJ will be retired till I get the urge to hack again. After I put the diamond plate on the base it seemed tacky and lost interest in the case for some reason,,,, I split the loop but nothing else. The box I'm building will be much better, NB on water, triple rads, dual loop, I built a dual bay, dual res, res! It is leak testing now and is upside down, I have two mpc355's w/ xspc tops that will hang underneath. I believe these pumps did so well w/ the xspc res tops because of the water stored above them, I'm doing the same thing, just different! Depending on the length of the tubing I'll have at least a 120 mm column of water sitting above the impeller, the xspc res at best has about 100mm.
Thanks guys, I like the nightstand too, it's due for a re-build. the 965 board is dated and the E6600 should be donated to the family room.
 
The reason the tops with built in reservoirs did so well in testing is because they're oped directly above the impeller inlet to the reservoir and not restricted to the inlet barb for water. Martins testing pretty well negated the gravity feed factor due to the giant reservoir he was using. If there was any way to directly mount the pumps to your reservoir with a hole about the same size as the impeller inlet or, even if you just used a direct g1/4-g1/4 nipple between the two that would grant you the least negative pressure on the inlet and therefore the best flow.
 
Where the threading ends above the impeller the hole in the acrylic reduces to 1/4" ID, I'd be interested to know if the res top has a similar restriction.

Yup, the top itself is identical, just with a reservoir strapped to it. They've done that because the impeller inlet isn't much if any bigger than 1/4" so having a bigger hole in the top would actually be bad for performance because fluid would come in and hit the closed impeller and be forced across the top of it and it wouldn't shed properly or get the same centrifugal force as that going through the impeller. The closer you can match the imlet in the top to the impeller inlet without any flat surface reductions the better you'll be.

Yep, retails for over 300, but I actually got it in a trade. I traded a guy a new antec 900 that was $40 after rebate, and a 2003 17'' LCD for this case. It's awesome!
