That would be my digicam except it's an ELPH S100. I picked one up from Amazon.com for $300 last Nov before they ran out of stock. 🙂 I love it and carry it around with me everywhere.

I had an awesome time in Canada! I took advantage of the exchange rate and picked up 3 six-packs of Canadian beer for my bf, 2 Cuban cigars, a Canadian flag, Canadian condoms (pour votre plaisir 😀), a box of SMARTIES, and ketchup-flavored chips hehe.

kei and yakko, I have Easter presents for you guys. 😀

My parents actually met in Canada before immigrating to the US in '72 and were in fact hitched at Toronto City Hall. Neat, eh? 🙂

This may be an illegal offense in Canada, but noone got even near drunk the entire weekend. 😛 Besides, some of us are wacky enough sober. Apparently, you missed the pics on PAGE 4 Soulflare's site. 😉

Too bad I couldn't go. I should've gone. I went to the Gorillaz concert at the Docks which was IMHO the worst concert I've ever gone to. No opening act. No encore. They had animations playing the whole time which was cool, but they played behind a curtain the whole time which I thought was uncool. My $40 would have been better spent at the meet. Anyhow, I'll plan something for the early summer. I don't expect many ppl to come but maybe the GTA ATers can come to it.

I thought it was a pretty damn good show myself, but I knew what I was going into (playing behind screens and all were mentioned in previous reviews that I had seen)..

Anyway...

I, and two of my friends drove about 9 hours from Cincinnati, OH to check out the Gorillaz show and see Toronto... Just so happened it was at the same time as the meet..

I attempted to call eakers after the show with some limited success, but by the time we got to the resturant it was already closed... Strangly enough, when I got back to the hotel I saw a few folks coming off the elevator.. I'm horrible with names, but I think they were Zenmervolt, Eakers, Klee58, and Windogg. If not, oops 🙂.

Hopefully I didn't come off as an ass, but damn I was tired and I had just walked a number of blocks lookin for ya'all in that cold Canadian air. I'm really a nice guy, I swear.. Funnily enough while I was looking for everyone, I saw them walking into a parking garage, but I wasn't sure it was them and by the time it registered I was already down the street a couple blocks.. It's too bad there was no partying goin on later that night, I was all ready hehe..

Regardless, it was cool to meet a few people, and Toronto was a very nice city. I have, however, had my fill of world's highest towers and horrific tax 🙂. Oh, and I got to hear eakers say "eh" 😛. Canadians rule, very friendly folks 🙂.

Ugh all these meets too far away, when is there gonna be one in New York or northern NJ?!?
Heck I'd even go to one in Mass, CT, RI, or VT.

It is interesting to note the price of fame though. Eakers, one of the most "visible" females on the board is unfortunately the victim of adolescent inequities; sometimes you benefit, sometimes you don't. If I were a pretty girl (and eakers is one) I would not court popularity here it can only lead to problems.

This is not meant to be didactic, just my feelings about it. I think eakers could have been Marylin fvcking Monroe and these guys would have found fault. >>
