He's a liar, same as the rest of them, only he has hurt me significantly worse than Obama or McCain ever did. To hell with Nader... I'm glad he'll never be president.

I disagree. I am unaware of Nader condoning or promoting any of the actions by PIRG that you cite there, and so I can't fairly blame him for those. He lives modestly and has devoted his life to activism for causes I support. That's why I support him.

Many unions and pro union groups don't let their members organize unions. It's one of the ironies of the union movement.... It's seems, and IS, hypocritical, but that never stopped most unions.

Nope. What's this obsession with DU from you guys anyway? I've never visited that site once in my entire life. Do I call all you guys Freepers? Where I am is probably around the center-left of every other western industrialized country. Last time I checked I didn't see any collective farms there. Don't let me get in the way of your hysterical hyperbole though... I'm sure we're all just commies in disguise.

The right in America is just so incredibly far to the right that everything looks leftist to them, even a centrist party like the Democrats. That's why I say you don't understand what real leftism is. You've never seen it, and so you take the farthest left thing you know (the Democrats) and assume that's what the left is.

Yeap, about 2/3rds of Democrats self identify as moderates or centrists. This is in contrast to about 2/3rds of Republicans that describe themselves as conservative or very conservative. You realize this just reinforces my point, right? The Democrats are indeed a centrist party, the Republicans are a far right party.

In elections that aren't close I vote my conscience, in elections that are close more often than not I vote to defeat the Republican candidate. This changes some depending on who is running, but that's the general rule. The Democratic party's ideology has never been mine, but it's as close as the two parties get.

Nader fvcked Gore and gave us Bush, so as much as I like him, and as safe as our Ca vote for him would be, I won't encourage him any more. I voted for him before and that was enough. When the people rally to his cause, maybe then.

At least be consistent in your position Moonbeam, when I made basically the same argument on the futility of the democrats trying to impeaching GWB when the republicans were not ready to abandon Bush in the Senate, you were calling me all kinds of democratic unpatriotic turncoat.

And now when you take the same position I originally did, I can agree with you for the practical reasons not to vote for Nadar, but I still respect the position of eskimospy without the discourtesy of calling him a turncoat.

Were did I call Eskimo a turncoat? I also don't see what you call inconsistency. These issues look quite different to me. People are free to vote as they wish. I only express my opinion on that as I'm free to do.

I don't care of impeachment was impractical. Bush is a criminal disaster. The Democrats were filthy worms not to impeach him, forget about a conviction. That worthless swine should have been dragged through the mud till his ass bled. He opened the door to the next fascist President and showed them how asleep and truly indifferent the American people are. Their worminess has put at risk our freedoms. The democrats make me sick. Worthless, wind testing, finger in the air, bastard cowards. They make me sick.

Naturally, the Republicans are worse.

I'm a Democrat. I voted for Obama. I don't like too much about my Democratic Representative. He ran unopposed so I just left that one unmarked.

remember - any vote that isn't mccain is a vote for obama. i wish there was a strong democrat (other than obama) who was running..:(

Voted for Obama for President. Everyone else, was Libertarian if available, if not then Republican.
