The single most impressive thing about Anand: how he manages to do all of this without sleeping. People joke about it, but seriously, I don't know when he sleeps.:Q He's always awake working on something.

And I wish we had some of the old AGN Hardware Show videos that Anand did to put up as a comparison from all those years ago...

Nope, he didn't explain things to a degree where even the host understood what he was saying. These shows require people who explain the technology in ways people can understand. I think instead of saying "this dual core processor is fast as last gens quad core" you can say "this is twice as fast as ..." or use numbers people understand - "this is 30% faster than current processor," etc. The host seemed lost and couldn't keep up with the nerd talk 🙂

Those were great. I remember the one when he basically said, look, the packaging tech just isn't there for sticking with incrementally faster single core microprocessors as the best way to greater system performance much longer. And, that SMP platforms using CMT were going to be the way forward. Here we are years later, and he was right, as usual.
