I'm bashing actors because they encouraged people to jam the phone lines at the White House. That borders on treason.

So encouraging people to call their elected officials is bordering on treason? Really? Interesting view..

They were not just simply calling them. They were TRYING to jam the lines so no one else could get through. It isn't treason, but it is stupid and repulsive.

Wow. They really proved their point. The long distance providers must have loved it

You don't think that was a little insulting given the context?

Honestly, no. I was simply trying pointing out that no oneperson knows everything, and it never hurts to listen to both sides of a story. I fail to see how that is an insult or rises to the level of "slinging sh1t"...

It really is a stupid, ridiculous, unrealistic, melo-dramatic, poorly written letter.

But it really doesn't really surprise me that some people champion the illogical rant of Mr. Daniels as if he was some sort of scholar and expert on the subject.

Ha.

I did not realize that was what happened. I actually agree that is going too far since it is affecting the day to day workings of the white house. If the purpose was to jam the phone lines and not actually talk to anyone, then I actually agree with you guys that it went to far. I don't know that I would consider it treason, but a seious offense none the less.

:)

Don't try and change the facts.

Believe it or not, I wasn't trying to change the facts, I was just unaware of them. :)

Ha.

Since when do you have to be a scholar and expert to simply love and support America? It's the thought that counts, and the thought that wins acclaim.

The negative connotations you attached to your statement "You are so sure you're so superior" are in NO WAY different than my statements about "the intellectually inferior" and yet you jumped all over me about it being insulting. but, you fail to see how your comments are just as biased and insulting. That's what I'm talking about.

EDIT:
I don't know that I would consider it treason, but a seious offense none the less.

I didn't say it WAS treason...I said it borders on treason. :)

Actually, I see your point now that you explained it, and I guess it could have been taken that way depending on how it was read. My intention was not to insult, but just to make a point. However, even if you read it that way, that is different than directly calling someone something like "intellectually inferior" wouldn't you agree?

It would be nice if there were some substance to his thought. Especially if it's out topic of discussion.

But since his rant deserves acclaim I guess all the actors thoughts against the war deserve acclaim now too.

Well, no. I'd say it's only a question of semantics. "egotistical" or "ignorant"...neither one is very flattering.
The argument could also be made that your comment was directed at an individual, while mine was more of a generalization.

Nope, no game. Not when actors publically repulse America, her troops, our stance and The Bush Administration. Not only do they have the consideration and thankfulness capacity of a flea for what our ancestors have done (laid their lives on the line so they could talk smack 50 years later), but they are against the very things that make life for them here possible in the first place, yet they continue to live here as hypocrites. Fine if they want to backstab their own nation, but at least they can do it while they're en-route to France, because I don't want to hear their bastard voices again.

They deserve no acclaim, WHATSOEVER. Yet liberally biased media like CNN enjoys giving it to them. But more and more people are growing smart enough to see through the thickening haze of bullsh1t. This is why the U.S. government is now under full Republican control, the American public majority supports a war, and CNN is no longer #1 in ratings and continues to get b1tchslapped by FOX News again and again.

I think you've lost touch with reality. Some actors are simply against the war with Iraq. Which is a good thing to be against. Doesn't imply that they don't appreciate what our ancestors have done. Good thing many people are starting to see through the haze of bullsh!t that our current administration has tried to cover our eyes with.

You can love our ancestors and America and oppose this administrations decisions.

I restate and continue to stand by my previous assertion that Charlie Daniels is no better than Martin Sheen, you only perceive that he is because his views echo your own. They are both a bunch of old minstrels running their mouths and using their "fame" to push their political viewpoints.
