Assuming that the article wasn't tongue in cheek, this chicks really messed up! :)

I used to work as a dispatcher for a tow company which involved receiving calls, dispatching trucks, dealing with "customers", and tons of paper work (;) ). You'd be surprised how many people are just like that chick! They come into the office making up all kinds of excuses and claiming this and that. Some are nice about it, while others get downright violent(cops get called on occassion). My most memorable "customer" was an off-duty cop, he flashed his badge at us, pleaded for mercy, then threatened us "if we ever entered his jurisdiction", and to top it off he reeked of alcohol. Buttholes are everywhere.

Gee she broke the rules and got busted for it. Poor little baby....having to live in a society with rules and consequences if you break them.

I bet she voted for Gore.

I hate to say this, but I tend to lean on Moonbeam's side with this one. I think the girl is being satirical (<-sp?). I think she is saying that just because the spot is empty, just because you're cute, just because you show a little leg doesn't mean that you are entitled to getting a free ride.

If that article isn't satirical she's definitely the type that votes Democrat. You can always spot those types by the "poor me, I'm such a victim" attitude.

Your deep psycological insight and trenchant political analysis amaze us all.

Congratulations.

You have won the moronic non-sequitar of the week award, on a forum where to be Top Moron is quite an accomplishment, indeed. The prize is your very own drool bucket.

Now, shiner, all sarcasm aside, I KNOW you're no true moron, and even have mad humor skillz (excellent, excellent work rant the other day), but your myopic ideological embitterment causes you to continually come off as one. Stop goring that ox.

Gore lost. Get over it. Yes, you!!

The article seemed quite obviously satirical. It's more sad, to me, that there are those too myopic to see this blatant manifestation of such.

Of course, if I'm wrong... then she's set a precedent.

I've got an article from my college newspaper that can top that. Link.

Note the beginning of the second paragraph, "Normally I wouldn't advocate participating in a governmental system as large as that of the state of Pennsylvania. . .". The author then goes on to bitch about how bad the "system" is and how it should have been changed long ago. Sorry bubba, but if you're not voting then STFU because you've got no right to complain.

You're right, the last 2-3 paragraphs upset me for having to endure her selfish stupidity.

Kind of like a public service message to other college people.... I'm suprised she didn't specify if the place was patrolled by the business or by the police and even more suprised that she didn't know about the chalk marks that Seattle's and other police departments use to mark when cars have parked at a location.

You'd be surprised at some of the crap that shows up in college newspapers. When I was in college one of the writers had an article somewhat similar to this. Like every campus there are parking spots reserved for faculty or employees. Well this guy had parked in a faculty spot, got a ticket and wrote an article raising hell about it. His whole rant was about how it was unfair for the faculty and employees to have designated parking areas because the students are the important people on the campus. He went on and on about how by giving the faculty their own spots they were being raised above the students and that was unfair since the students paid their salary. He was quite serious and had several follow up articles about his not wanting to pay his ticket, how he had lost campus parking privileges, and how the campus police were uncaring about his feelings on the issue.

That's why the article linked above didn't really surprise me.

Oh by the way....the guy that wrote the articles in our college paper was also Chairman of the Young Democrats on campus.

hmmm... sometimes i gotta wonder why every article in my paper was politically-charged and not worthless drivel like this or that ivy league girl who asked "spit or swallow" and answered why she swallowed.

ok so i asked the editor in chief about this... i didn't want to be too insulting so i have to infer some of this... but it is my impression that she wrote this in the heat of frustration, knowing that she was being "irrational".

*shrug*

i'm going to take that to mean it wasn't satire :D
