I found out a few hours ago about the ThinkGeek spam that was posted yesterday in the Hot Deals forum. I am embarrased to say that it did come from us, and for that we apologize. A marketing employee from our parent company posted the announcement in an effort to get exposure for a promotion we are running. It looks like she was unaware of the forum rules. We didn't authorize this post, and if we had known about it in advance, we would have stopped it from happening.
Please know that we are wholeheartedly against spam in any form. On behalf of the staff of ThinkGeek, I want to apologize to everybody that was ticked off at us. I hope you will consider shopping with us again. We're not bad people - I promise!
