As far as Marvel superheros goes, Captain America is sort of a jingoistic cliche of the Office of War Information... the costume is just ridiculous. But that's fine, it was during WW2 after all.
But Marvel and Paramount are trying to turn it into a real-life movie with some quasi-realistic basis a la Batman Begins... with the guy still dressed up like the ambiguously gay version of uncle Sam. Am I really the only that thinks it's stupid?
