How much is the Samsung 7nm EUV process expected to provide in terms of gains?
How will the RTX components be scaled/developed?
Any major architectural enhancements expected?
Will VRAM be bumped to 16/12/12 for the top three?
Will there be further fragmentation in the lineup? (Keeping turing at cheaper prices, while offering 'beefed up RTX' options at the top?)
Will the top card be capable of >4K60, at least 90?
Would Nvidia ever consider an HBM implementation in the gaming lineup?
Will Nvidia introduce new proprietary technologies again?

Sorry if imprudent/uncalled for, just interested in the forum member's thoughts.

Those "leakers" are the same. They change their statements every time. Kopite, he doesn't seem to be legit. He said 3080 Ti would be 384-bit 12GB and that it would be 320-bit 20GB later and then it could be a new GA103-based chip. Why would NVIDIA design another silicon with 6 GPCs when they already have GA102 with 7 GPCs?

He's now saying 3080 Ti could be GA102 384-bit 12GB, GA102 320-bit 20GB or GA103 320-bit 10GB. He literally couldn't be wrong since he's made every prediction. I don't trust those guys.

God forbid somebody update what is expected based off newer information.

God forgive anyone who throws out a bunch of options saying it’s a mess and he doesn’t know what the real names are. He’s spitballing based on a host of rumors. He doesn’t actually know what’s really going on right now. It doesn’t matter how accurate he was in the past.

So you'd rather he didn't share information that he has? It isn't like he has a YouTube channel to soak ad revenue from all of it and he isn't claiming any of it is a solid guarantee either.

I don't think so. What he's posted is probably real and is/was in consideration for Nvidia, but not all of it will end up being released. He acknowledges that it's a mess himself, but I don't think it's because he's being fed false information.
I have no reason to doubt him given his perfect track record concerning Ampere leaks, long before launch.
Could make sense if they plan to retire GA104 as mobile only chip.

Then you cleatly have zero idea who Kopite is.

If anything his info indicates that Nvidia constantly changes plans, about SKU lineup/stack.

People rapidly forgot the info that Kopite leaked and turned out true in the past.

As I have said, if anything Kopite's info suggests that its not him who hasn't got a clue, what Nvidia is doing, but rather Nvidia management themselves haven't got a clue what they want to do, and constantly change plans.

This guy has literally made nearly every plausible prediction possible since Ampere has come out. There are higher vram cards, no there isn't. There is a GA103, no there isn't. There are TI models, no there aren't. There are super models, no there aren't.

When a person makes this many contradicting opinions, it stands to reason he is now currently begging for attention OR he's being fed bad information.
Or Nvidia has zero clue what to do, with their product stack.

Yes, he did a great job with his early leaks on Ampere; I didn't forget that. I have no idea who this guy is, but there are other leakers who post less frequently and only when they have a pretty solid lock on the info. I guess that isn't his style. You may be right about Nvidia being in a tizzy; they've obviously blown this launch compared to AMD (though neither can meet demand :confused_old: ).

LOL... Yeah, that comment hasn't aged super well. I'm enjoying it, but it's not a great look when my wife's asking what's broken with my computer when there's a half-naked V standing on my shoulders as I'm riding a motorcycle around the city.

I wonder if it's trying to manage the supply chain for any product stack that's causing such problems more than anything. You can draw up all the grand plans based on brilliant ideas that you want, but reality has a way of getting in the way of all of them.

If they can't secure the memory or other components that they need it requires redrawing those plans until they have something that's workable.

Crumbs, I was looking forward to this once it got fixed, but with this sort of thing - it's game over (my computer desk is in the family room).

And with the tariffs kicking in, it's even more of a nightmare - what product mix can sell with +7.5 - 25% in extra $$s. Marketing departments must be losing their minds figuring out the product requirements. Oh, and the obligatory "Death to miners"

If crypto prices have skyrocketed to the point where GPU mining is profitable, things aren't going to get better any time soon.

Inflation's a bitch.

I am beginning to hate GPUs. We had the 2017 mining boom that drove prices insane, followed by the extremely expensive Turing cards, followed by the unavailable and heavily scalped Ampere/RDNA2 cards, and now we are getting another mining Boom...

I am starting to think Indie gaming on iGPUs is the way forward for PC gaming. If you want AAA gaming, get a console.

The problem with mining is that it is less predictable and NV & AMD have more difficulty finding out from distributors how many cards are going to miners. That, and both are supply limited for a variety of reasons (beyond GPU chip production).
