If the tea party does anything to see Romney elected, then I'll have nothing further to do with that hallow name.
Mitt Romney is not the Tea Party candidate, if my post was unclear.
Romney is for the 'right-wing corporatists'.

Great!! We're doomed!!!
Stock up on canned goods now. And guns too...
You think electing a sell out and a dumb bitch from Alaska would have been better?
I just had to say that we're all a bunch of morons for repeatedly voting these terrible politicians into office.
I just had to say that we're all a bunch of morons for repeatedly voting these terrible politicians into office. How much money has been destroyed during the last 20 years? The American dream is for all intensive purposes dead.
The worst part is people like you. People that post in these forums throwing mud at each other. You know who you are. You blame one party. The other person blames the other party. You never wake up and smell the roses realizing you're an idiot. Both parties are terrible, doing nothing for you, and simply destroying our future. Stop blaming one party over the next. They're both absolutely terrible.
Apparently the schooling isn't that great, that is for sure.
Does this thread in any way add to this forum?
I wholeheartedly agree that both of our parties are rotten to the core.
However, if we threw them out, what would we replace them with? Half the populace would want laissez-faire capitalism and the other half would want a European-style mixed democratic socialist economy. We'd be at the same spot where we're at now.
we'll never know...We do know that the obama's bloated sense of personal destiny is a sea anchor of destruction for the US.
As it stands now we generally choose between two candidates who are not qualified to run a 1st world country. Then, the one that spends the most money wins. It's quite silly. I'm not an expert in this field but I think it would be interesting to see who the last candidate was that won but didn't spend the most money. Corporations spoon feed tons of money to candidates who will make them more money and then that candidate wins. It's corrupt.
I like Obama. Most of you probably should. He seems like a nice guy. That however doesn't qualify him to be the President. His leadership skills qualify him for something more along the lines of a School Superintendant. Bush W. was qualified for less. This is why having Palin on the ticket was such a bad idea. The woman would have been next in line to the Presidency but had no skills whatsoever to be one. Ask yourself, and be honest, whether you think Obama (or insert politician here) would be qualified to be your boss at work. Generally speaking the answer is no. If they can't manage a business how are we to expect them to run our country? If employees did what Congress just did they would all be fired.
This is of course my opinion. Some of you might think that charisma is enough to be the leader of the land.
It's not just about the President though. After all you are electing an administration. It's about Congress and more so. They're the real failures here. It seems like all our politicians do today is work towards being reelected and all too often that hurts our country.
I propose term limits on Congress, compulsory voting, state funded elections, and that the American people stop feeding into this idea that you have to vote against a candidate. If the election doesn't have a decent candidate in it then something is clearly wrong. All the good ones want nothing to do with the playground antics, corruption, and destructive cycle that politics is today.
Foreigners are just as dumb as Americans. It's laughable to see Europeans or Canadians take potshots at the current US predicament. The US and all Western countries including Japan area in the same position. Racing third world countries to the bottom means that they can no longer sustain their first world lifestyles. Some countries might have a little less income inequality or more social welfare than others but it's the same dynamics.

food, booze, women, gold and guns is all in need to survive the second great depression.
So whats the the solution then?
I believe the third world is meeting "US" in the middle. Hopeful you/me/we direct our anger at the corrupt rich and don't sucker for another big world war.
Maybe Marx was right after all.
Well you're an idiot, because Western countries doesn't include Japan, further more Japan has been in this position for 20 years. Their debt is something like 220% of GDP.
The view from America's hat is pretty nice right now, and many other countries including Australia and Brazil for example are doing just fine, even France for that matter has a good debt to GDP ratio (compared to the USA).
Not everyone is guilty of spending money they don't have like you Americans.
Japan has been heavily influenced by the West and is basically part of a larger Western society at this point in my opinion. But if you want to be a dickhead about it (and apparently you do since you lead off your post with a personal insult) then replace "Western" with "developed." Brazil is not a first-world country. Australia is doing well because of its natural resources and small population (like Norway). France has the same budget issues most countries are having. People there are constantly protesting government cuts.

No, people there are protesting cuts to entitlements that are excessive and make the country uncompetitive, that being said, with all the entitlements they have they're still.. somehow, in better shape than you guys.

Smart cookies move to Canada or Australia quickly before they shut the door on immigration- countries with real asset wealth in natural resources-
That would of worked 30 years ago, but now you just don't make enough of your vitals to do that- you don't have the natural resource or the productive capacity. The solution for the West is tariffs on third-world countries. The solution for the third world is to develop their internal markets first.

By that logic Kuwait is a great place to live too...until a more populous country barges down the door and takes what it needs. It won't be too long until Australia will be unable to defend itself from Chinese pressure. Of course, they'll probably be safe for a long time since they're allies with more populous western countries like the US.
Do you have any evidence for that? The US is a continent. I'm not advocating tariffs on other developed countries or with OPEC countries so there would be plenty of resources.
Sounds like your solution is for Americans to reduce themselves to third-world standards of living to show some solidarity.
I kind of prefer them over a say a lady gaga concert!
