The one thing that bothers me about American Idol (and why I don't watch it) is that nobody does anything after winning it (except for Kelly Clarkson - she's the exception that proves the rule). Where is Rueben? Fantasia? Hicks? That's right, back in relative obscurity where they were before American Idol.
Hicks has an album coming out. Can you at least give him time to record it before you say he's back in obscurity? He had to tour with the Idols first.
Ruben has an album coming out in September. He has been Grammy nominated and his first album went platinum.
Fantasia just starred in a movie about her life...yep, she's faded away. BTW, she got FOUR Grammy nominations. She has another album coming out in November.
Yep, she's faded away.* 2004 Billboard single of the year, "I Believe"
* 2004 Billboard Top selling R&B/Hip-Hop single of the year, "I Believe"
* 2005 Billboard-American Urban Radio Networks Top R&B/hip-hop single (sales), "I Believe"
* 2005 NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Female Artist
* 2006 Groovevolt Music Awards- Best New Artist
* 2006 ASCAP R&B/Hip-Hop Awards, "Free Yourself"
* 2006 ASCAP R&B/Hip-Hop Awards, "Truth Is"
Don't forget Clay Aiken.
His 3rd album is coming out soon.
He had the best-selling single of 2003
Won Top 40 male artist of the year in 2004.
Also won several Christian music awards for his Christmas album.
Yep, he's back in obscurity.
How about Carrie Underwood, 2005's winner?

Yep, nobody has heard from her, either.
So much for your reason for not watching Idol. Try knowing what you're talking about next time.
