Kate Perry or whatever was terrible live. I like watching all these other live people on Idol, they all seem so bad compared to the actual contestants, it's sad. Just goes to shows how much of a media and company product they are.

I don't know if this is true but I heard that not winning Idol for some contestants might actually be a better deal. Not sure on how legit this info is, but apperently if you win, you are bound to a 7 year contract with Idol and they take a huge chunk of your profits etc.

If anyone has the biggest chance of making it on their own from all of this it's Adam Lambert no questions asked. Not winning might actually be good for him.

This is what I heard as well. It's pretty ironclad now too. Clay Aiken managed to get out of his, and they made sure that no one else can.
 
The pilot for the new show Glee, coming this fall, will air right after AI tonight. It's produced by Ryan Murphy, the guy behind Nip/Tuck.

Synopsis

Will Schuester an optimistic high school teacher, tries to reinvent the McKinley High School's glee club, while reinventing himself. He challenge a group of outcasts to realize their true star potential, while facing harsh criticism from everyone in the school.

Yeah, I plan on watching it. It's getting nothing but great reviews.
 
Three different songs for each tonight -- favorite performance from the season, song chosen by Simon Fuller (creator of the show), and the winner's single co-written by Kara. Voting window is also four hours and not the normal two hours.

LOL! Ryan also warns that the two-hour finale tomorrow night will be going long and plan on recording the show after AI to get it all. haha
 
Adam starts the night off with 'Mad World'.

ETA - Or the song that I'll say isn't really his own because he didn't come up with this version even though many people think he did.
 
I thought Adam should have stepped it up with his song choice. I thought it was blah. At least Kris seems even blah'er with his performance.

Ugh, it wasn't that great. I don't know, it kinda seemed slow and stretched out for me. I guess my Adam bias is starting to show. 🙂

He also messed up the lyrics. He ended with "my change is gonna come" and it should have been "a change is gonna come." Unless he was talking about a sex-change operation, I don't get it.
