I figured Kris would win... He has the pretty boy looks that appeal to the preteen girl audience. Adam was clearly the crowd favorite in the theater there, however. Both these guys will do fine, though I'd expect Adam to join or form a rock band at some point.

This is the first time I've ever watched the show all the way through... I liked the guy with the glasses who sang with Lionel Ritchie; I think he's got some talent for that genre.

They don't. Teenage girls, especially in America are in no way mentally prepared to appriciate an artist like Adam, neither is the general US population. This is why I believe in dictatorships, because people are fuckin stupid and don't see the way 😉

The teenagers didn't doom Adam imo. He is too polarizing...people love him or hate him. People may not love Kris, but few hate him. So when it finally got paired down to two, Kris picked up more of the other's votes than Adam did.

I somehow saw Kris winning especially looking at DialIdol and stuff.

Either way I'm extremely disappointed. David Archuleta failed me. Clay Aiken failed me, and now Adam failed me. Archuleta I could see why he lost, but Clay Aiken was just ridiculous. Adam, I can also see why he lost, but it's pretty much the same reasons why Prop 8 passed in CA. Disgusting. And it's not just the gay thing but also the polarizing issue and how it's disgusting that Kris isn't that great at all.

Edit: FVCK. No more betting. I lost $20 this time but that's ok. Better than the $100 I lost betting on the Oscars.

What a joke...the dude cant sing....he has no range on the highs...it was the people who would have voted for Danny that gave Chris the win...Adam is a much better singer and he will get further with his career than Chris will...probably some automated dialer was set up to run for hours in favor of Chris...

i can't see Kris really having much success after the idol steam runs out. he's just not anything special. Allison or Adam had more star power.

anyone notice that when they announced Kris was the winner only three of the four judges stood up and applauded? Simon remained seated and I don't think he was clapping either. : /

I had to look this up, and you were damn close. Elliot's 3 albums together, have only sold 618,877 copies, while Daughtry has sold 4,437,029 copies. This was as of 5/13, so maybe Elliot had huge numbers in the last week.😛

I completely agree. There are a million performers you can say Kris is like but not many you can compare Adam to. Unique vocals and a great performer. He is destined for success. Maybe he will become the next Freddy Mercury.

After watching the last episode (I didn't watch it live) I have a few comments/observations:

Allison is awesome and should of been 2nd. Adam is still God. Danny is better than Kris. Matt is better than Kris.

Kris looked like a shocked little farmer boy when he won. He commented that Adam should of won. There was just something really strange about the way Kris' family looked when he won, as if they didn't believe it either.

Adam Lambert's props to Kris when he won was so fake. I think honestly it was a setup for Kris to win and for Adam to not be bound by any contracts because he is going to get scooped up into some serious real music of his own with a recording studio.

America isn't advanced enough for people like Adam, sad to say but it's true. And to anyone who says he "screams" or can't sing etc, again I repeat that you obviously have zero music tastes and probably suffer from some kind of retardation. Every song he does he blows it out of the water, with the Queen duet, Kris' voice pailed in comparison to Adam's, actually all I heard was Adam.

Btw Kris had 2 good songs and a truck load of shitty ones. Like someone said here earlier all of Danny's voters went to Kris. People are blind. My moms friend who was Kris' biggest fan and has absolutely zero taste in music, admitted later on after the final that Kris isn't the best singer but she just "likes him so much either way".

So yea, to all these Kris fans and Adam haters, you honestly have no clue 😛

looks like the winner may be the first loser in this case, just heard a radio report that gene asked adam to go on tour with kiss. all other stories aside, I do believe that the kiss-adam performance on the finale was probably the best performance of any type ever on AI.

Well lets be honest. A Kiss tour is just about the only place Adam's obnoxious screaming and glittery black attire would fit in. Oh, and Kiss probably needs Adam more than Adam needs Kiss to be honest.

I actually think he could become a Freddy Mercury type also. It has nothing to do with AIDS or being gay. Adam just has that vibe to him.

I am actually looking forward to an album by Adam. I don't think I have ever looked forward to anything from any Idol contestant before...lol.
