I glanced at the idol forums and the things people are saying , time to call out the people in white coats, some of those 'fans' need some time out. Talking about how they are crying over the results ?

Yeah, no matter what, Kris will be thrown into superstardom, and has a great company backing him. I don't think one idol winner has gone without a major award (Grammy, etc.) or platinum album.

Even better is reading some of the Twitter responses over Adam's win. And people also have the nerve to blame Twitter for spoiling the show for them. Idiots! Something like the winner of American Idol is all over the place and if those people didn't want to know who won they should stay off the internet (and turn off their cell phones) until they finish the show themselves. The teenagers didn't doom Adam imo. He is too polarizing...people love him or hate him. People may not love Kris, but few hate him. So when it finally got paired down to two, Kris picked up more of the other's votes than Adam did.

He has a lot of uniqueness to him...his interpretation, which in some ways is more solid than Adam's. He's not a typical pop singer, sort of a bryan adams type, and he'll do fine. He's very young and given how much he grew during this show, he's going to continue to improve and strengthen his style.

Kris is so one dimensional.

People were excited to see Adam's next outstanding performance and hear his vocals. Teeny girls just wanted a look at Kris, not really view a performance from him.

I hope some hot space cadet like bikini girl gets in the top twelve next season and all the boys and men vote her all the way to the top.

Yea, we had one this season, Megan, although she was so fuckin bad at singing she didn't make it to the top. It will never happen though, guys don't watch this show. I'm the only guy out of my whole social circle that watches.

Didn't really like anybody this year. Gokey was like a new and improved Taylor Hicks and Kris was like a young Jack Johnson.

Out of those 3, I can only think of a handful of songs I enjoyed, Falling Slowly was probably the best song of the competition, while No Boundaries was absolutely just plain full of poo.

Yeah, it was a weak showing this year -- actually for the last few years. I still think it's an exciting show to watch though, and look forward to January. 🙂

To me these folks are like the "value" product of national brands.
Like picking sams club cola over Coca Cola or Pepsi.
Both look like cola, but taste reveals something is missing.

"Real" vocalist/singers never have to do American Idols.
You'll never see Gloria Estefan's on American Idol.

Gloria Estefan = the real product.
AI contestants = value brand.

Fantasia Barrino has been to date the only AI contestant with true raw talent.

exactly, gokey was a new and improved taylor hicks, i guarantee you gokey will do better than taylor hicks did and frankly will probably do better than Kris. danny should have been the american idol this year.

I was really hoping Adam would win, but the power of the South in this competition in regards to voting pulls through again. All the Danny fans went to Kris like I feared.

I've never been a fan of Kris - I didn't think he'd make the top 12/13, then I thought he'd be booted within two weeks because he's so boring, but I guess people like the cute boy.
