Yeah her reaction was not that of someone losing an employee, even if that employee is a close friend.

To me it seems that with Boyd it's all about him. If you do something for yourself and it doesn't help him he gets all pissy. No wonder so many people bail on him!

To me it seems that with Boyd it's all about him. If you do something for yourself and it doesn't help him he gets all pissy. No wonder so many people bail on him!

Boyd isn't the biggest problem in the shop.

It's his wannabe bully right hand man (bald guy, went on vacation and saw his family in this episode). The guy runs around the shop yelling at people and actually physically threatening them.

1. If he was my employee he'd be warned the first time he yelled profanities at another employee and fired the first time he threatened anyone.

2. I told my GF she'd have to bail me out if he was my boss... I'd beat him within an inch of his life if he threatened me like he does some of those guys. I took a vow a LONG time ago (grade school) that I would NEVER be bullied again... and I haven't been.

If Boyd fired him and promoted the Swede his shop would be doing great and he wouldn't have lost so many employees.

Usually with guys like that all you have to do is get in their face when they do that and they either back down or get rid of you.

In Charlies case he was Dwaynes equal so Dwayne didn't pull that crap with him. I thinkl it was Boyd constantly creating unrealistic deadlines and un-needed drama just for the sake of the show that caused Charlie to bail. He's always asking them to work on the weekends and late at night and after a while that takes it's toll and when you have the skills that Charlie does why put up with that crap?

Yeah, I agree with that. But what about the oether ten or so guys that were fired or quit recently?

I wonder if anyone else makes money from the show, or if Boyd takes it all?

I certainly wouldn't want them restoring or building a car for me, at least not one they do on the show. The ridiculous deadlines automatically mean that they can't do as nice of a job.
Building a car or a bike for show in a short time just isn't realistic. It goes against all the rules about taking your time and doing it right.

I think they wanted to show some supposedly "real" biker dudes building stuff. A lot of people have been ragging the American Chopper folks for not "fabricating everything in-house".....they claim all they do is buy parts and assemble them.
I read one board where they were saying the Teutles couldn't compare to real builders like Indian Larry and Billy Lane.
Then you see the Biker Build Off with Billy Lane vs. Indian Larry, and they build a bike practically the same way. Someone else does their paint, someone else builds their engine, they use an off-the-shelf frame, and they take an off-the-shelf gas tank and modify it to what they want.
Indian Larry even used standard fenders for a trailer.

Funny how once someone gets popular and successful, people say they've "sold out".
Same thing happens to bands.

I think Boyd came out looking like an @ss in thi slast episode. Maybe the 'real' Boyd. I'd get tired of these silly deadlines too. Sure once in a while, working late is just part of life but not every time.

Anyone knows what really happened between Boyd and Foose?
