We need serious voting reform. If Biden has pushed through HR-1 by fiat would your response had been the same?
Just contrast everything that has happened and is currently conspiring with Mitch McConnell's response to democrats suggestion of making voting day a national holiday:

A POWER GRAB BY THE DEMOCRATS.

Let that sink in for a second.

Are we in a constitutional crisis? Are we???

The first 3 weeks of the new administration has been a bull with a terrible itch in a china shop.

This is paywall penetrating for 14 days, i.e. until Feb. 24, 2025:

I question anyone who answers "no" with a straight face.
The answer is undoubtedly yes.

Because complaining about them saying "Migrants are eating the cats, eating the dogs and trump bullying migrants" isn't likely to win votes as much as economic policy but no..
You are so wrong. Ask any MAGat on the campaign trail what is the Trump economic policy plan. They couldn't answer.

However, they bought the fear of minorities with blacks stealing pets and eating them.

If Dems had run on white people stealing pets and eating them, would it have helped? If not, why not?

But the point is that it wasnt just dems that fucked up. And lets be honest, you did zoom in on Biden there for a second.

This is what you have to come to terms with: The coup didnt start yesterday, it's been rolling for years, count in extreme gerrymandering voter roll purges, physical voter suppression(less ballot boxes in dem heavy areas), cable media, podcast media, the fucking Twitter buyout SO ON AND SO ON ...

It's a FUCKING SIEGE.

And you, and Indus, are zero'ing in on single issue stuff.

You have to come to terms with the rules of the game you are playing OR YOU ARE GOING TO LOSE AGAIN.
Dude. You're still doubling down. I've discussed numerous times the right wing media sphere and the shitty mainstream media and shitty people in general. Every thread I don't have to repeat in detail everything. I still did acknowledge it in the beginning of this thread. Yes I'm focusing on Biden and other mistakes of the Democratic leadership because guess what, right now, that's our opposition party. And we can try to help influence that party do a better job. You can't convince a party to do a better job if you don't acknowledge it's fundamental mistakes.

Harris didn't lose by that much. We'll can't say a primary would have guaranteed a win, but it definitely without a doubt was the much better shot considering where Biden put us, much if not all of it predicted.

And that was the fault of democratic leadership pretending we had a king.

Well "votes thrown out" is not the same as voter suppression. I thought the claim was that votes were actually, physically thrown out. That article seems very confusing to me, like a bunch of accusations thrown against the wall to see what would stick.

I agree with another poster who said the solution should be to have better policies and deliver the message better. I really dont want to see the Dems get into a "stolen election" claim for the rest of Trump's term.

The right wing in the US only really has Fox
I can also attest that there is not one single news outlet in Europe supporting conservative or right-wing views.
Pair that with reddit + twitter + facebook provenly engaging in suppression of right-wing leaning views and personalities for the better part of the last decade, and the notion that there was a "massive right-wing media sphere" has to be coming from either irony or a bubble.

The coup didnt start yesterday
Coup?
Is that how you call it when you massively lose an election with a landslide favoring the other side? How can you complain about gerrymandering when you lost everything, including
the popular vote?

All true and I apologize for exaggerating my position. was trying to make room for common ground.

What would you call tearing up the constitution?

After all that's happened, if you guys still didn't get that throwing hyperboles around is detrimental to your cause, you should get ready for at least another 2 terms of republicans in power.

Winning a plurality is not usually called a landslide but enjoy your cupcakes.

You lost every single swing state. You lost the House and the Senate. And the popular vote.
Only a madman would still think this was a close call. It was a landslide.

Are you bragging Trump won or are you disappointed that they were so terrible they allowed Trump and MAGA to win?

Viewpoints of people matter here.

If Elon Musk is pulling the cord to whatever payment system he deems fit then what do you need the power of the purse for? It seems to me, and every scholar on earth, that you dont.
Elon controls the money. Congress dont.
So.
Putinism? I guess?

edit: It's almost like this seperation of powers thing is a news flash to some of you guys ... and why its there..

You just discover the slaver gerrymander built in to our Constitution? Welcome to America, comrade.

I don't really care either way. I never lived in the US and most probably never will.

But how would that change the debate, by the way?

And you keep hitting the hyperbole button.

It's like you can't help yourself.
