American Dad

I used to like American Dad. Now it sucks, and it's been sucky for a while now (all of this season and some of the last). Story lines have been way out there and nonsensical...and more importantly...non-funny 😛 - Roger and Stan's boss are still funny but it seems like they're trying to make all the other characters be something they aren't. They turned Stan Smith into a really unlikeable guy (and now suicidal?) instead of the standard silly-manly lovable doofus. Also pretty much every episode this season has been about Steve trying to connect with his Dad more.

Like I said I used to like the series but now I'm actually hoping it gets canceled. What say you? Obviously if you never liked the series you shouldn't care to reply. I was more interested in people who liked the show...to see if they feel as I do about it or if they still like it pretty well.

It's been better then the Simpson's and that new one they just released so hopefully they keep it for a bit longer.

I think American Dad is the best of Animation Domination right now.

And ugh, Roger has NEVER been funny!

I just can't look at Star Trek The Next Generation with a serious face anymore since American Dad

American Dad is still good. I cannot stand the strong liberal progressive themed episodes Family Guy has been running lately. South Park making an amazing comeback, the economy episode was brilliant. Haven't watched The Simpsons in years. Finally got interested in King of the Hill once it hit syndication on Adult Swim, but admit I have no idea if the recent seasons are good or not.

I prefer American Dad over Family Guy. That's not to say I think American Dad is great, but between the two I do think it is better.

It has it's ups and downs. Seems to me we were all talking about how funny it was a couple of weeks ago.

Fickle group here. If it's bad once, it's always bad. If it's good once, it's always good.

Absolutely horrible when it first came out, but I've seen some recent episodes that were really damn funny. If it comes on now I don't change the channel right away like I did in the past.

American Dad has been the #1 show I look forward to on Sunday nights for a while now. I will however be the first to admit that it's been less funny as of late compared to the other seasons, but as many others have alluded to it's almost always a breath of fresh laughs after some of the rotten Family Guy episodes it follows. The last few weeks have been good for both shows so maybe they get back on track, but even SUGGESTING getting out the axe for AD is ridiculous. Once Cleveland's show comes around we'll see where both are at. I know no one wants to get rid of Family Guy but if the Cleveland Show follows in the same vane as it then why keep both? So we'll see.

Whoa, Cleveland is getting his own show? That sounds like a terrible idea; he is a great supporting character, but I can't see him as a lead, and not because he's black, I'd say the same thing if it were the crippled guy.

For some reason Steve really pisses me off. Any episode focused on him is just lame. His voice is irritating, his character is irritating, and he's overused. I'd love for American Dad to axe him on stage with lots and lots of cartoon gore.
