Yes, you do. Luckily for me, I'm getting a boxing thingie tomorrow, so I won't post angry crap anymore, I'll just punch that gawddamn thing. But for now: I HATE YOU!

OK...

here is what we can do...

Gone in 60 seconds...ppl have it??? Take it...use 3.2 dvdshrink....do full disk compression minus the bottom 2 soundtracks and it should leave 64% compression....Do it with deep analysis and then post the time....no adaptive correction, yet!!!

I am doing it now....ripped it to HDD to test as well...

HDD rip:

no deep analysis = 7 min 21 sec (encoding pegged at 100% (2 cores used))

w/ deep analysis = 14 min 49 sec (encoding pegged at 100% (2 cores used))

DVD rip

w/ deep analysis = 40 min 55 sec (nothing ever was pegged at 100%, though encoding got the closest.)

damnnear faster to rip then encode like above...

straight encode = 20 min 40 sec (never pegged 100%, was more in the same mid 55% average range....)

Ofcourse doing it off DVd will vary among pp based on how good their DVD burners or roms are at rip speeds...I think the HDD and then subsequent test is the best to test the cpu architecture and the other is more of a system benchmark since other components will vary....

We may see here but for me sometimes it is more effective to rip then encode cause doing it all off the drive can take as long anyways...HDD space is a consideration there...

it is important to use same DVD as DVD can even vary on rip speed...

Does anyone know how I can disable the 2nd core?? Just change the driver in the device manager from multiprocessor back to the original???

Try adding /ONECPU to your BOOT.INI switches to disable all other cores.

a 4400+ is 546?

Sorry.

Sure it will beat the expensive single cores from Intel. That's why you buy a 3.0 w/ht and OC it to 3.6-3.8

That will rape any AMD-single core chip...rape it hard and good.

You stay classy.
a 3.6 or 3.8 P4 is only fast in encoding.. so if that's ALL you ever do on your PC, all the power to you.. but even an A64 3500 will beat that thing to a pulp in every other benchmark.

First, yes jpeyton bought a 4400+ way back (2 of them actually) and sold one to me for what he paid. Then I sold it to Duvie for what I paid, $546.

Next, I think an FX-55 at 3.0 (easy to do on air) would be pretty close to even a 3.8 Anybody got any benches on that ?

Intel sux .. its got nothing to do with being a fan boy or not liking the company
they just make CRAP CPU's ... apart from the Centrino.

Intel has some really nasty leadership and they are down right in bed with the devil.

They will not stop until AMD IS DEAD we are all buying Celerons .... and only the 3 kings of Europe can aford to buy Pentium 4's

Intel is the worst Hardware Company around ..... They make me sick i hope they lose out bigtime and AMD becomes number 1 .. maybe this will at least force them to wake up and start making some Desktop CPU's worth our money.

Don't be a troll man..

and Centrino ISN'T a CPU, it's a chipset. So before you start to troll, get the facts right..

Get familiar with it!

Centrino isn't really a chipset either. It's the combination of the 915/855 chipsets, a Pentium M proc, and an Intel wireless chip.

Yes, the 4400 was $546 at TigerDirect at one point.

Yep!! jpeyton bought it for that and expected to give it to his client...his client backed out and he sold it for the same price since he didnt use it. he is a stand up guy cause at that point he could hav esold it for about 50-60 dollars more easy....MarkFW900 bought it for that price and since we all live in Portland, OR it was hand delivered....Mark waited until I had my cash and then I picked it up for the 546.00 price...

3 sells and the price remained the same...As if I bought it from tigerdirect and received columbiahouse shipping method!!!

Lets try a more popular movie.

Say Fellowship of the Ring Extended Disc 1?

fatty4sku: After you had the nerve/ignorance/flamebait? to post the quote I use in my sig, you can't complain about people jumping on you about trollism even if you don't post a troll quote.

Yes, monarch now has 4400+ OEM's in stock for around 537 dollars. I could of purchased it last night but my monitor caught fire and I now looking to replace it with a good medium high end LCD monitor, LOL.

Edit: There is no encoding program that has a 1.8 Willamette perform equally to a AMD64 3000+. Maybe if someone in this forum who has those chips can run tests.

I dont have this one....

the reason I did the Gone in 60 seconds is that I had ran it on my 1.8ghz@2.6ghz winchester....p4 2.4c@2.4, 3.0, and 3.5ghz....
