I'm looking to build a system pretty soonish based around an AMD X2 3800+ CPU, but am getting a headache trying to find a reasonably priced mobo that supports this out fot he box as i want a nice and straight forward firsty build.
I thought i'd found what i was lookign for in the ASUS A8R-MVP, but have just read a few quite nasty reviews about it's reliability :S
I dealy i would go for an NF4 motherboard like the A8N-E but can't find anything anywhere about setting up a dual core processor in this, as in whether or not it will just recognise the CPU as single core until i update the BIOS or if it just won't be recognised!
If anyoen could explain the ins and outs of installing a dual core processor in an nf4 mobo then i would be very grateful. Second to that if anyone has any recomendations of boards (around £80) which support the dual core CPU out fo the box then please could they enlighten me.
Thankyou very very much in advance, and i look forward to reading your responses.
