AMD should consider quitting.

You should consider dieing. A horrible, horrible death, if possible. A quick, clean death will suffice, though, AS LONG AS YOU'RE DEAD.

Have a nice one.
Any by one, I mean death.

Will the mods PLEASE lock this thread...getting a little tired of the "Hall of Troll" threads that keep popping up.

Sorry, mate...if it were a well intentioned and thought out question, I would have given it some good effort. Catch you on the next thread!

I think a huge part of the problem wiht intel and amd is that they hit the wall on performance about 4 years ago.

A pentium 4 or athlon xp with 512 ram from 2001 or 2002 will still perform just fine for 90% of users today. Back in the 80s and 90's you would get huge gains and computers would be outdated in just a year or 2 with how fast cpu power was growring.

not the case anymore. For familes that surf the web using XP home. They won't need to upgrade their 2001 computer for a LOONNG time.

Yep they really need a reason to get people to upgrade. Maybe vista will actually come through, but not holding my breath.

Personal attacks, too? You sure you're not Intelia/Dothan with some added grammar?

His posts are a letdown, but your baseless accusation and stupid signature are offensive to me!

Ill bet you have no input of your own about the state of AMD business with regard to the article reference in the OP. All you've done is troll my thread and that speaks volumes.
