Has anyone seen any reviews for that mobo? The 5G NIC is kinda tempting but haven't seen any tests for that Aquantia chip.

If my Microcenter gets them in stock on Monday, I will be picking one up.

OK, But the B350 Prime Plus also has an additional BIOS to make recovery? If I Power reset the board will it brick?
I am making the recovery USB.

I couldnt find an additional bios on my b350m. Cant see it online for your prime plus?
I tried excactly the same i think.
Shut down the machine via windows.
Then couldn't boot but usb recovery worked fine but took perhaps half an hr or so. Crazy stuff.
I would also wait 12 hrs. Before trying to boot normally. But i wouldnt set my hopes high for this.
Then turn off and recover bios using pen with some patience.

Let us know how it ends.

No what I actually meant is that if B350 Prime Plus has dual BIOS like the high boards? Is it?
I have the latest BIOS 0503 downloaded.
My Trident Z 3200 15-15-15 runs only at 2133 which is why I tried to update but now having this issue.
I will wait 4 hours more and then power reset it. Then I will attempt to use the USB to update the BIOS.

Please correct or confirm me, The "ASUS CrashFree BIOS" is a motherboard Feature right, not a software I can install.
Means it detects the BIOS file in USB and tries to update ?

OK, I will use the BIOS from the Board.
Yes I found it in the manual, but it says utility which confuses me, but now it is clear.

I would recover using the bios supplied with the board.

Perhaps this is a bit technical but i think its best if the usb is single partition and fat32/16 format .

It surely a single partition but check it says FAT when right clicking on the unit and selecting properties.

Dont know about others but i asume regular prime b350 does it too. But if it does he can find it in the manual. I think its an alternative to dual bios.

I vote for Taichi with the ram Markfw selected - cant remember. Then you should get 3200 with the settings showed in earlier link.

In just 2 weeks we are hopefully much more informed.

I am not sure how things are going for memory related BIOS updates on the Asus stuff, but my Asrock has gotten several updates this last week, and I've been running 3200mhz CL14 G.Skill TridentZ since Monday, even before the update yesterday for more RAM compatbility.

Also, unlike the Prime, you're actually getting updates. The latest BIOS for the Prime is still the one from 28 February.

So it looks like through my new connection I am getting a new 1800x, Gigabyte AX370 board, AND a new Vega based graphics card to put together for a system to mess around with. Pretty sure I can't talk a whole lot of details about the Vega card though, but should be interesting if I get a hold of one.

Yep and the profiles is old and profiling seems buggy to me.

Nope only Asus motherboards have this option.But for now I wouldn't go purchasing anything Asus X370 as of yet. Unless you want a really fancy and expensive Paper weight.

CPU 0 was never used at all!!

Holy crap ... I was the biggest idiot ever.

CPU 0 usage was 100% so it is not changing and all blue and it looks like it was not in use.

But why only 3.3 GHz on my 1700X?

I wouldn't trust Task Manager to report correct clock speeds at all times. Use HWMonitor, CPU-Z or some other utility.

If it turns out to be correct, with a 1-core load, that's odd, almost as if boost was disabled (which would be very odd).

You have to go into power management and change all the options to off and make sure you select the high performance mode as the mode you run in. That will fix your core parking issues.

Good article about the lack of boards,

AMD's response is sort of depressing. They have really become untrustworthy over the last few years, and anything they say that isn't based on hard numbers should be taken with truckloads of salt. Further proof that corporations are not your friend.

AMD is pleased with the enthusiasm for Ryzen and the strong demand worldwide for Ryzen 7. Demand for Ryzen 7 does exceed our motherboard partners’ initial expectations. Our partners are rapidly ramping up shipments, and we expect sufficient motherboard supply in a few weeks.

“It’s all about the bad coordination, bad communication, bad support and bad timing to launch this platform in my opinion. With all these issues, none of us could start manufacture the boards sooner. Also, in January and February, all board vendors’ production lines were occupied with Intel 200 series boards before Chinese New Year and tried to ship as much boards as we can to ensure we won’t have stock issues while Asia was on New Year vacation.

In late December, AMD decided to pull in the launch date (it was scheduled to launch in late Q2) and launched it right after Chinese New Year but AMD keep the CPU supply quantity secret from us the whole time. They only shared the data 2 weeks before the launch, we didn’t understand why they were doing it. Also, their BIOS team and engineers were doing terrible jobs on supporting us on the BIOS microcode updates, driver updates, CPU samples for testing. They have done nothing they should have been doing to support the launch platform partners and always delay or give no response on support requests. We were all having huge issues to debug with limited AMD resource support including validating the parts, and fixing the memory clock speed that is all limited by AMD.

In general, it’s been too long for AMD to launch a new CPU, so they forgot how to do it, so they launched the CPU just like they were launching the graphics card. They didn’t care about the platform eco-system, so the eco-system is suffering and stock is delayed.

We are flying in new batches every 3 days to try to fulfill the back orders ASAP, so they should be all back in stock soon. With all the board reviews released, per Newegg and Amazon, the AMD memory limitation issue is slowing down the sales though.

We need your help to feedback that to AMD as well on their supports issues.

Our CPU frequency is 25MHz a level, i.e.: when you key in 4000 the frequency is 4000; 4010 or 4020 and enter, frequency will auto adjust to 4025. Key in 4026 will be 4050 and so on. The question on memory to 3600MHz, is because ASUS ROG Crosshair VI Hero ($255.00) and Gigabyte K7 featured CLKGEN on board, MSI also have upcoming model featured this as well, I’ll keep you posted.

Obviously, there are different options to enable overclocking; multi and voltage adjustment, also reference clock. One of the ways the MB guys can differentiate their product lines is the inclusion of ref clock adjustment. With X370, B350, and X300 all offering overclocking the ODMs want to differentiate their product lines. Now that the MB guys see how beneficial and desirable ref clock adjustment is, I expect all the motherboard makers to release models to stay competitive. As AMD establishes presence in the high performance and enthusiast market, more and more partners will take advantage of the market opportunities and deliver even better options for builders and overclockers.

AMDs response is what you'd expect. Not saying it's good, but when it comes to getting actual motherboards out to stores, that's not something they can influence right now.

Sounds like AMD should have been far more on the ball than they have been, but on the other hand "all board vendors' production lines were occupied with Intel 200 series boards before Chinese New Year" is a poor excuse at best. They new there was a brand-new platform launching soon - whether it was early or late march shouldn't affect production schedules that much. Besides, the Intel launch was a refresh with a new chipset yet otherwise well-known features and designs, and products could have been stockpiled well ahead of launch. If they prioritized that ahead of Ryzen, that's on them, not AMD, even if support from AMD was lacking.

I think they were going on the data for the last gen thinking no one would be interested in a new AMD product since Fm2+ did so crappy along with Am1 sales being so small. They should suck it up and except responsibility for the shortages and realize AMD isn't stained with a Scarlet Letter S any longer.Now where are our motherboards??

The second quote clearly points the finger at AMD. Of course, that's what you would expect someone from the board manufacturers to say as well. Though, I trust that anonymous person far more than AMD's obvious PR speak. That wasn't really the point though, just a tangent. I don't really care who is to blame. The point can be summarized in the following quote,

"...the first batch of boards was very small and shipped by air. They also noticed that the normal bulk shipments are done in shipping containers that come into North America by sea from Asia and that takes weeks and they should start arriving at any time."

We are all waiting on container ships that are hopefully stuffed to the brim with motherboards, and it will take weeks for them to get here.

They also said,

"We are flying in new batches every 3 days to try to fulfill the back orders ASAP, so they should be all back in stock soon."

I suspect this person works for Asus, as I have not seen other motherboards come back into stock in the USA. Which might also mean that Asus is the only one flying boards in.
