What do you guys think the maximum supported OC memory for Ryzen will eventually be? I was thinking of buying 3600 MHz memory, and returning my 3000 MHz kit.

Im probably going to do the same and go with single rank 3600 dimms. My personal view on this is that the samsung B die single rank dimms will likely hit 3600 eventually, maybe higher. As for dual rank dimms i would be surprised if they hit past 3200. Who knows though its to early to know for sure.

Glad to see some people finally getting their hands on some higher end boards.

My build is nearly complete, just doing a bit of cable management and loop prep.

OMG the ASRock Fatal1ty X370 Professional motherboard sold out again in under 5 mins 🙁
It sold out so fast I couldn't even get to the checkout option before I got the error message that the item has been removed from the cart due to limited quantities.
Anyways got my backup B350 motherboard from Fed-Ex today but have to wait for Newegg to send me my Replacement r7 1800x.Any one know generally how long it takes for newegg to send out replacements after receiving the RMA'ed item? Tracking is showing they will get the item back tomorrow.I'm hoping they ship something out to me by Wed of this next week or am I being unrealistic?

My next problem.

WTF is going on Amazon???

I've seen that deal, I didn't bother because of the lower clockspeed plus I don't really trust that "ships within" timeframe from Amazon. Who knows when they'll really get the product in stock.

Meh, unless someone makes a quadfire-capable X370 board with PLX chip and all the bells and whistles, I'm going with a Taichi once they hit mainstream availability. Or maybe build an X399 system.

Just successfully tested my newly-delivered Gigabyte AB350 Gaming 3 motherboard with 1800X. It shipped with the F4 BIOS so I'm going to flash it with the latest beta BIOS before proceeding to replace my main rig's guts.

Well, the motherboard is going to get here in another week.

I have Amazon prime with 2 days shipping, so I can afford another week to see if Amazon is ready to ship it.

Finished my build and somethings up. Constant crashes. Probably chose the wrong memory set. If thats the consensus in my computer help thread I'll order a set from the approved list.

Oh man I hope I don't run into the same problems tomorrow when my 1700 arrives. I would point you to the Beta BIOS but Gigabyte pulled it today. I should have downloaded it for my build tomorrow.

Gigabyte pulled the beta BIOS for the AB350 Gaming 3 (ATX) board as well. I think they were having issues with (go figure) memory timings and boot loops. lol

My Ryzen build has been completed.

1800X OCed to 4.0 GHz on all cores at 1.35 volts
Corsair H60i water cooler
GIGABYTE GA AB350 Gaming
ADATA DDR4 2400 with timings lowered to 14 14 14 14 30 from the default of 17 17 17 17 39
MSI Gaming X GTX 1080 at 2012 / 5500
WD Blue SSD 240GB + Toshiba Deathstar 7200rpm 2TB
1000W FSP 80+ Bronze
NZXT Phantom
Windows 10 Pro

Can't say I'm displeased to be in the 97th percentile in FireStrike (only 92nd in Timespy though):

QVL? What's that?

/thug life
A QVLs are usually a small subset of the market probably with promotion by the memory manufacturers on memory to test. They are poorly updated. Also lots of people got their memory before any QVLs were released. The fact is that most of this memory doesn't have a technical reason not to work, all the memory manufacturers and AMD are working hard on support.

But really QVLs take half the fun out of it.

Where can you find out if it's single or dual though? It's not in any specs, or most reviews, and that's assuming you can find a review.

That's a great question, wake me up if you find any actual answers because I couldn't anywhere for the past few weeks. Only snippets from random forums.
