Has AMD commented about availability of the new 5000 series processors? Should it be better than the last time?

Here in Czechia at launch only 1 retailer had them in stock, 5950X and 5900X went quickly, 5800X and 5600X held a little bit longer but in about half an hour all were gone. None to be seen anywhere now.

Well, one of the hottest products in thinking rock technology finally stayed in stock longer than two days at Micro Center and could be picked up at leisure on the weekend.

Went to the Michigan store; when I picked up Saturday afternoon, there were ~50 still in stock, with 4 5900X's sold so far that day.

Hopefully this means scalpers are done exploiting Zen3 soon.

These things are hot off the dang press, 2115 lot date!

5600x, 5800x, 5900x, and 5950x now all in ample supply at both Houston and Dallas MicroCenters as well (25+ of all 4 processors at both stores, all at or below MSRP). But they're still not taking on-line orders - hopefully that restriction will get lifted soon as well.

Interestingly, MicroCenter has currently dropped the 5800x to a more reasonable $429 ($20 below AMD MSRP) as well.

Amazon has done the same price reduction on the 5800X and it seems to be in stock quite regularly. I'm still holding out for a 5900X though.

5900x in stock on amazon. All these chips are available right now on Amazon. So odd to see. Great news. I hope scalpers get stuck with a total butt-load of chips they can't sell. I hope there's some insanely selfish bellend somewhere who maxed out his daddy's card and now can't pay it off, so he gets the belt right across his pathetic little backside until it turns AMD red. AMD RED ASSED.

Still scalping on Amazon. Seems like supply is catching up with demand so the scalpers are going to have to move quick to not get caught with chips they can't move!

I see it in stock, but not shipped by Amazon and not at MSRP. I'm waiting for it to be $550 and sold by Amazon.

Picked one 5950X at Microcenter today (Chicago suburbs) for $799. They had 24+ in stock as of 20 minutes ago.

They also had in stock AMD RX 6800XT and 6900XT for $1300 and $1800 each and multiples i saw on the shelf.
Speaking to employee they are getting Nvidia stock too (and sold few 3070 in the morning) 'few times a week'. 'Sells out pretty fast'.

Who is paying that much for an AMD video card?

MC running the 5600x @ $280 and 5800x @$400 for now, with board discounts.

Haha, feel like I should have waited a bit on a
5800x purchases but after tax I still got better pricing and didn’t have to leave my home :D

Pushing the 5600x closer to $250 is going to make it harder to recommended Intel, especially when nice B450 boards can be had for close to $100 with the discount.

5900X are in store as SRP in Germany (Mindfactory) now, exactly 1 month after I bit the bullet and paid 120 EUR extra (incl. VAT), which in turn was after 5 months of waiting for my ordered CPU from a wholesaler (and watching the price/availability changes).

Said wholesaler still has none in stock, but their orders from AMD decreased from over 5000 units to only 620 units, so they likely did deliver units to their big customers (like "Saturn" who are now also selling units again).

3 largest shops here in Czechia (I have not checked other) have all 4 models in stock now for multiple days. I think this is the best availability so far.

I think we are going to start seeing Zen2 at lower prices, 3600 back to $160-ish in the next few months, and Zen3 with more sales this summer.

We are 6 months after Zen3 launched and 1st run subsequently sold everything unexpectedly, supply seems to be normalizing; even if the coming Intel stuff is 10% faster, all they have to do is drop prices and are still going to sell a lot.

If 5600X gets dropped to under $300 everywhere sooner than later, I think Intel is going to have a bad time in that price bracket.

I would reluctantly buy the 5800X at MicroCenter for $400 and probably throw up in my mouth a little afterward if I was still in the market, but I wouldn't pay more than that. It's a lot for an 8 core CPU these days considering what you can get for under $300. I don't know, I might still just go with a 10700K for $250. That's still a crazy good deal.
