From early reviews it seems like the 5600XT and Nvidia 2060 are basically tied both in performance and power consumption although GN's 12V rail power numbers and Anandtech's system power numbers don't agree, not sure why that is.

Taxes are so high in Europe for tech goods, as well as import fees and stuff, they really make it hard for EU consumers to have decent tech. I wish individual countries understood the benefit to have cheaper tech and remove all fees and taxes from tech, so we can have cheap competing tech in Europe. But politicians and bureaucrats love their fat paycheck, so it won't happen.

20% VAT in the UK and the 5600XT squeaks by the 2060 on price. Removing VAT makes it almost price matched with the US MSRP.

5600XT £253
5700 £275
2060 £260
2060KO (GT104) £270
1660S £192
1660 Ti (DoA) £231

The price of tech will be interesting to watch over the next 12 months.

Anyone interested in a 5600xt should wait a couple months until the prices have gone down. If a 5700 can be had for $299 now, the 5600xt should be no more than $250. Otherwise just get a 5700.

Interesting comments from AMD's Earnings Report. From Anandtech's article:

"Computing and Graphics was the lion's share of the earnings gains, with revenue for this segment up 69% year-over-year thanks to strong sales of both Ryzen processors and Radeon GPUs for gaming."

It doesn't say how much is from CPU and how much from GPU, but it does say the two of them. I keep hearing the the 5700 sales are doing very well, I just haven't heard it from an official source with actual numbers to support the statement.

Better to be gouged on your gaming tech than be gouged on your healthcare and education.
