The R240 and 250 are based on the Orland core which was supposed to be part of Sea Islands but seem to been shuffled with the Volcanic Islands for the R200 series.

Nah, it's pretty lame when AMD does it as well. And in any case, it's only really insulting when the rebadges MSRP for the same amount as the cards they replace.

edit: That's a pretty funky looking reference cooler on the Curacao cards. I wonder what the thinking behind the ducted exhaust is.
