Any workers others with more cash want is already gone.

It doesn't work like that in real life. People do not choose jobs only based on what company pays the highest salary.

I'm sure there are plenty of talented people left at AMD. Looking at the amount of R&D and products they are able to produce despite their limited R&D budget is quite amazing.

You can compare that to Intel, who throws billions of dollars into mobile R&D, and still are not successful. So money alone does not determine everything.

Agreed. The laboral atmosphere is vital there too. Money no longer matters there. On a stressful ambient you will start to think... Why more money if my life is trashy?
