My computer: US$1510
Your computer with no monitor: US$3537 (from dell website w/o special warranty or extra accesoriesor software they have bo discounts at the moment), EXPENSIVE!!!!!!!!!
Ohh!! that is less than the half.
Ok, you had a 25% discount, this is US$2653 still expensive (75.7% more) enough for me to get an athlon 64 FX55 or a 4000+ and some other components and kick your computer ass even more. (Anyway my computer is running at FX55 levels so I have no need)
So I guess you run your computer with the MB sitting on the table then. I dont see no case. $350 for a video card. What video card. It would have to be a 6800Ultra or X800/850 XT or PE to match up with mine. And because you appear to be as ignorant as you are arrogant my computer with 650GB HDD space cost $2300 shipped. OUCH!! I hope you build computers better than you do math.
Let's see your computer $1510 without a case and less hard drive space and a slower video card and one less optical drive and no warranty cost 50% less, but if you even up the storage and video then your home built is probably about 20-30% less. WOW!!!! What savings. I'm defenitaley impressed with your technical skills as well as your math skills.
And I won't disscus anymore with someone that isn't able to build his own computer. OH!! c'mon you cannot even quote." What's that supposed to mean other than you're a smart ass.
For Zebo, I'm glad you got yours dialed in. Maybe I don't want to have to "dial" it in. Maybe I just want to use it. As for user error I don't think so. I followed all the guides and info on this site. I can't be sure what the problem was. Maybe bios, maybe chipset, maybe bad luck who knows. All I know is it wasn't user error.
As for all the other comments about not being able to build my own. Who said that? Why all the assumptions? No one here knows whether I've built my own in the past. Maybe I could but choose not to. If I can get what I want at what I think is a reasonable price and have someone else build it and warranty it, why not. I never said my Dell is faster than any of yours. I just said it's faster than my 3500+ and any other 3500+ that HASN"T been over clocked. I did timed comparisons using the same software and the same files and again FOR WHAT I WANT TO USE IT FOR, it's faster. I realize the 3500+ with equal video cards may have a slight edge in some games but the cards were/are not equal. And so what if the 3500+ plays 5 or 10 FPS faster when they both are running at least 70 or 80 FPS to begin with.
I also realize that this is an AMD Fanboy site but some of you really need to get off your pedastel and stop running of at the mouth witnout knowing all the facts, carlosd.....
You really don't know anything, that 's the reason why you are not able to build a capable system.
OK, my case costs 90 dollars, that would make my system 90 dollars more expensive (US1600), still a lot cheaper and faster than yours. (without having an lots of innecesary storage space, also I have an additional DVD drive, but I had it already, anyway it is extremely cheap, US$25 retail so it would be 1625). Besides ALL OF MY PARTS ARE RETAIL SO THEY HAVE AT LEAST 3 YEARS OF WARRANTY DIRECTLY FROM THE MANUFACTURER (NO WARRANTY?????) OUCHHHH!!!. If you Know Something about hardware you'll would know that my A 64 overclocked at FX55 levels with 6800GT at ultra levels is still beating your CPU videocard combo, OUCHHHHH!!! (maybe you should read a little more before saying such incoherences, Yes your video card is kind of superior, not in all games, but news for you, the system works as a whole) . Besides I Have dual raptors (if you know what a raptor is) , much faster disks than yours , OUCHHHHH!!!!!!!, I prefer speed than capacity on hard disks, I could have bought two 400GB Hard disks and would have 800GB of storage for the same price of the dual raptors and the 250GB Caviar. OUCHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! .
Your system would costs US$2653 with 25% off(not anymore), at least that you have bought your system in an alternative dell company in another dimension, so you cannot prove that your system costs $2300 (which is still too expensive). OK it would be a saving of 41.5% for a faster, cooler and quieter system. OUCHH!!!!!! . Still a GREAT saving and that supossing that bougth you computer in an aternative dimenssion for US$2300.
Still not able to quote??
And the only fanboy here are you, going against the real facts, I am only on the side of the facts not on side of AMD.
There smart ass. I'll quote just for you.
Apparently your reading comprehension needs a little work. I never said I couldn't, didn't build my own system. I just happened to buy this time. Or maybe everytime, who knows. Certainly not you. You don't know what I am or am not capable of, you don't know me, period!
It'd be easy to prove to you what I paid for my system, I have the invoice, but since you're such an ass, I won't bother.
As for your "Raptors" big fricking deal. They're not that fast and just a waste of money, pure marketing gimmick, pay 3 times as much for 2% performance boost. OUCH!!!
Not everything you buy retail has 3 years waranty OUCH!!!!! AGAIN
If you think your system performs at FX55 levels you are again showing your amazing brain power, oh, yeah it msut be over clocked like your CPU...... On Crack!
As for quiet, any system running an nVidia 6800GT or Ultra will be louder than mine., period. And unless you are running water cooling or have no fan on your CPU then your system will be louder than mine.
And I still am not seeing these "facts" you like to refer to. Just what are they? Benchamrks? As I said I don't use my computer for running benchmarks, but I guess you have certain "deficencies" in your personal llife or physical stature that requires you to prove to the world how great you are at building a computer. WOW you can follow directions and turn a screwdriver, IMPRESSIVE to say the least.
I bet you put a turbo (if you know what a turbo is), on your GEO so you can impress your woman or man or whatever it is you are obiviously trying so hard to impress.
So fanboy, before you accuse someone of lying maybe YOU should get your facts straight.
