I read very well . It's beacuse your VERY limited hardware knowledge thaty I say so.
Not at all the retail parts have 3 years of warranty, but if you look at my parts at the end, and if you would know something about hardware parts you would know that all the brands I use offer at least 3 years of warranty, Except for the raptors with a 5 years warranty. OUCHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!
And the albatron 6800GT is certainly quiet.
If it has the stock HSF it's not. They all make noise.
Raptors 2% in performance gain???? JA JA JA!! You really don't know what a raptor is.

I know exactly what a "raptor" drive is, it's a waste of money for home users. As I mentioned in a reply to another post, what performance boost do you get other than slightly faster boot time or load times? It won't increase the FPS in games or increase video encoding performance. I'ts mostly for people who like the word "raptor" and want to brag to everyone that they have one of tthose 10000rpm drives. Hell with all the noise and heat, as long as it's a "raptor"
I don't think my system performs like an FX 55, it does cause it is runnig above FX55's clock speed (the only difference would be the caché, which doesn't affect the Athon 64 achitechture performance too much) . And yes my CPU is overclocked, a thing that you won't be able to do without some liquid nitrogen.
Here again showing your ignorance. You are a lost case.
Here again, you just don't get it either. Not everyone wants to overclock their system. And deal with the inevitable problems that arise. Check these forums. 50% of the people posting have questions or problems with their OCs. Maybe you got lucky and didn't have any problems, but that's not the norm. It wasn't for me. After about a week of problems, I decided it wasn't worth the effort for the little performance boost, and even at 2.5Ghz the 3500+ didn't perform as well as my P4, IN THE APPS THAT I AM USING. This is what I said way back on my first post. My comments pertained to performance with what I was using. You all made it a AMD vs Intel debate, that escalated into other areas. I'm sure your 2.6Ghz computer is fast, but I bet for MPEG2 encoding using Premeire Elements and DVD ripping/encoding using DVDShrink, it's not faster than my Dell. I will also bet that my Dell is quieter than your PC, and I'm not using ANY aftermarket quiet fans, everything is OEM. Dell did a really good job of cooling the P4 and keeping it quiet. Unless you've seen/heard one then you can't really comment. I did have an Athlon, with retail HSF and a 6800GT with retail HSF and the Dell is much quieter.
I'm am really sorry that you spend that amount of money in an inferior system, but it is not my fault, its yours.
What makes it inferior? Cause I can't OC it? And AGAIN, I did not spend anymore money on the Dell then I did on my AMD system. I had certain components that I wanted that increased the cost of the AMD system to within a $100 or so of the Dell. Prices change everyday, so you can't gp with what prices are today. A month ago the 2 systems were about equal in price. And the cost of having someone else build it was only about another $150, which to me is worth it. My time is worth more than that. So that was/is my choice.
And bulid a PC is not only follow directions and use a screwdriver, you have to choose the right parts, you have to use your brain and find the best config for the system,
I had the "right" configuration. Just for you cause you're so special, I'll list what I had in the system, it would've been the same whethet I built it or had it built-
ASUS A8N- SLI Deluxe
eVGA 6800GT
3500+ Retail
2 x 512Mb Corsair 3200XL
2 x 300Gb Maxtor Diamond Max
Samsung DVD burner
Lian Li V1000 case
Enermax EP465 PSU
I think that's about it. If you with all your wisdom and superior intelligence can tell me exactly what is wrong with this configuration, then by all means let me know.
That is the reason why you have to buy preassembled systems from DELL or from anyone.
I
don't HAVE to buy preassembled. I CHOOSE to buy preassembled. That's my choice, it's also my money not yours. And just because your a tight wad, that doesn't mean everyone else is. Or maybe you have nothing better to do with your time. I certainly do. I actually have life other than building and playing with a computer. You're probably addicted to Everquest too, and that's where all your "friends" are.
Just go away with your DELL andl stop liying saying that it's faster and cheaper than a "similar" AMD configuration (Just beacause your very personal bad experiences with AMD). WE ALL KNOW IT IS FALSE, so you lost your time, mainly beacuse you are not able to prove it.
I'm not lying, I didn't say it was cheaper. I said it was "about" the same cost. And it is faster in the things that I do with it, compared to a stock 3500+. And no I won't go away just because I'm not one the AMD fanboys.
