AMD marketing Steamroller before Vishera launch. Thoughts?

Do you mean BDver5 is done (5th gen)? Is Steamroller sampling yet?

Kaveri ,which is based on SR core is most likely finished design(we don't know if it taped out yet,on next earnings call AMD may say if it did). Excavator core should be nearly finished as it was supposed to be a 2014 product ,so from design point probably also finished. The only unknown for AMD is the process technology story since they have no control over GloFo. They now fully depend on them when it comes to time to market (which is not good but they had no choice anyway).

AMD Steamroller talks were about a post-steamroller design using the HDL. AMD is finished with Steamroller, and any post-steamroller designs. Bulldozer = Piledriver, Steamroller = Excavator, 5th gen is post-steamroller.
