So one new GPU and rest is rebrand. And then some audio crap is all we got. :|

And in terms of TressFX, even the PS4 uses APEX instead.
Since there was no new process, and they were just trying to compete with the 780, I definitely expected this. This is more of a stop gap due to Nvidia doing the same thing.

Lichdom sounds kinda epic.

No we wouldn't because I still haven't gotten an answer to my question. What does this do that a soundcard (there are many options) cannot when games are not using lossless audio.

If you had been paying attention, the sound engine can't run on the current cards because of reasons, so they need AMD to step in and be their savior and provide hardware only they can

Most PC gamers are using their laptop speakers or 2.0 headphones/speakers. Most 'PC' speakers are trash. Real audiophiles already have good equipment. This is a non-starter IMHO.

Yeah sadly Klipsch doesn't make the Ultra 5.1s anymore. I love mine and dunno what I'd do if they went out. Well, yes I do but it would be a lot more money than I paid for these.

What? Nobody I know who is serious about gaming would touch a VR headset with a 10ft pole.

not yet...do u think people want stuff and companies give it to them?? ermmm NO!

companies push shit and make you want it. maybe u'll never end up buying it, but there's a lot of people that will.

notice that i never said that it's a good or bad thing. Just that's whats being pushed...such as wearables in tech like smartwatches and google glass...people never wanted that shit...theyre making people want it

Have you actually tried the Oculus Rift? So far, people seem very interested in it. Maybe just the people you know don't care. I am guessing it is not a lot of people.

Most PC gamers are using their laptop speakers or 2.0 headphones/speakers. Most 'PC' speakers are trash. Real audiophiles already have good equipment. This is a non-starter IMHO.

The TrueAudio guy made a big deal about this working on stereo or headphones, exactly what you said most gamers have. So it will help them, if not people with better setups.

...so you want high grass realism, but plastic hair?

If it was between one or the other, I will always take grass. Lot more of it in a game.

In terms of priorities. I would easily pick the grass before hair. And TressFX is not exactly realistic. Plenty of examples where its more unrealistic due to sloppy coding.

If they really wanted to do some good sound stuff, they would get Chris Roberts on there, and show off some game play.

We need epic space battles. :)
