Nice price too at $599. If Fury is anything close in price and performance of 980ti, these monitors should go fast. Also paired with 390x, the combined cost (vs 970 + XB270HU) is something to consider if in the market for both VC and monitor upgrade.

A little confused with the MG279Q review. As this monitor has a built in scaler the lag worse than the equivalent G-sync version.

But at 144hz this seems to not be the case.

So as a twitch gamer with a CPU/GPU that can hit 144hz easily this monitor should be just fine?

Why is the lag so low at 144hz compared to 120.. Does the scaler disengage or something?

Confused...

Just wanted to let everyone know that Benq was superb with the firmware update support.

*They supply the return label.
*They shipped it back the same day it arrived at their facility.
*Overall RMA process was not hard.

Only thing is that i cannot verify the firmware on the monitor, if anyone knows please let me know.(I just looked up how to see it, i will report back when i can). Also not sure what else they did but the monitor looks a lot better image quality wise, better colors (before is looked like the brightness was cranked out no matter what).

This is for the BenQ XL2730Z.

Could fire up the freesync demo with the windmills and see if you can spot ghosting.

Im running a crossfire setup and i cannot disable it. Still waiting for AMD drivers.

Also the monitor does say Firmware V 0002 in the hidden menu.

I've seen somewhere (can't remember where) that a driver leak in Windows 10 has an iffy Freesync Crossfire support so it's probably not that far away from being released.
