So I think your 60C temp. is fine.

You guys have a weird sense of a cool CPU, yours will probably die faster than mine at those temps though...

Seeking Tao, I have the Epox 8k3ae and I saw in your system rig that you have the 8k3a+. I also have these insanely high temperatures which scared me to death. In fact, I was running my 1600 XP at 1.40V just so I could see some "safe" temperatures (idle at 44- mid 50's under load). I was just wondering how long have you been running your comp at those temperatures and if you have seen any system instabilities? If you haven't, I'm going to just overclock my 1600 to 2100 speeds at 1.825V and just assume that the temps are reading wrong. Thanks! =)

I have an Epox 8K3A and my mobo reads my Tbred 1700+ @ 1920 MHz/1.72V to be ~62C at Idle and ~70C under load.
This is with an Alpha PAL8045 :Q
It runs Seventeen or Bust (works like Prime95) for days without causing any stability issues so I don't really care![]()
