Sounds like some of the crap you hear uneducated fanboy kids come up with now and then. It seems as if people actually make up little stories about AMD's "inferior" chips and try to spread them among their friends and/or internet... I guess this problem isn't just limited to fanboys in the CPU world, though.
Now, there might of course be some truth behind this, but I kind of doubt it.

they are likely refering to the 3000 some odd opertons that were shown to have a possibility to fail under certain highly unlikely conditions, this should nto be a major concern to any AMD buyer at present.

LOL, nice kneejerk reactions. "EVIL INTEL FANBOIS!!!" :Q
Maybe the OP can actually elaborate so y'all can actually look up the opteron errata (if you can), because last I checked, there were 8 items related to 64-bit extensions on the latest step.

Now it's "INTEL HAS BUGS TOO AND AMD'S BUGS DON'T AFFECT COMMON USERS", hahaha! Doesn't change the fact the op statement "Someone told me AMD has flaws with ... 64-bit processing that they refuse to fix" is valid. Regardless, it is hilarious how the first reactions have been tinfoil-hat screeches about "evil intel fanboys spreading evil rumors". LOL. I've had my fun for the day, later.

This is why you offer so little to this board!!!!
Reading and comprehension is still an issue with you....Dont stir up crap in this thread...It is clear the OP needs to supply some more info
"tinfoil-hat"....Did you learn a new catch phrase??? LOL...Now I have had my fun....
What I meant was that these errors usually get blown out of proportion by the fanboys. It happens on "both sides", but the Intel guys are usually quite eager to make sure that people understand how unstable AMD CPUs are. I've seen it so many times. The only one really making a fool out of himself in this thread is you.Originally posted by: dmens

I've seen more crap from so called "professionals" than what I've seen from newbies. The biggest problem is that most people believe what the "professionals" say...Originally posted by: wacki
