Hello everyone,

Click here to download the driver.

Highlights of the Driver:

Windows 10 Technical Preview Support:
· This driver provides full WDDM 2.0 support for Windows 10 and DirectX 12 on all Graphics Core Next (GCN) supported products -AMD Radeon HD 7000 and newer graphics products. Official driver support for AMD products will be available when Microsoft launches Windows 10 on July 29th, 2015.
· NOTE: To ensure stability, users should upgrade to the latest available Windows 10 Technical Preview build provided by Microsoft before installing AMD Catalyst 15.7.

Virtual Super Resolution (VSR):
· VSR provides image quality enhancements to games and Windows desktop users by rendering images at a higher resolution and then down-scaling the same.

Frame Rate Target Control (FRTC):
· FRTC allows the user to set a maximum frame rate when playing an application in full screen exclusive mode. This feature provides the following benefits:
o Reduced GPU power consumption
o Reduced system heat
o Lower fan speeds and less noise

AMD FreeSync and AMD Crossfire Support:
· FreeSync and Crossfire can now be used together in applications using DirectX 10 or higher. Please note, this feature is currently not supported on systems configured in Dual Graphics mode.

Please refer to the Release Notes for information regarding Known and Resolved Issues, CrossFire Profile enhancements for numerous games and to learn more about which graphics cards support VSR and FRTC.

Nice, VSR is now supported by older cards! 4K VSR is still only for the 285 and Fury, but glad to see wider support for VSR.

That's good, I had to stop using Win 10 because it was making my R9 290 run at 300Mhz. I hope this is one of the things that was fixed!

Sam, what is the deal with version 15.7 vs 15.20?
The release notes say:
[422853] Some systems may experience minor performance drop from 15.15 to 15.20 in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt with HairWorks enabled
[422797] Display profiles are not retained after driver upgrade from 14.502 to 15.20

So, why are we hopping around from 15.15 to 15.20 to 15.7?

15.7 = year 2015 month 7 (July)

Why they deviated from this norm/convention with 15.15 is unknown to me.

15.7 = year 2015 month 7 (July) is correct and so is 15.20. 15.20 is the branch.

Example from AMDMatt
For reference on what driver strings mean by the way:
15.15-150611a-185358E (This is the real driver we provided)
15.15 - is the branch
150611 - is the date of the build, YY/MM/DD
185358 - is the build request from our system to create this driver based off the information above

No the issues did not exist in dx9. At least not recently. Eyefinity and crossfire worked with dx9 but since the dx11 client launched neither work.

Maybe I'm missing something but I'm not seeing any VSR options in CCC with an R9 280.

And like that, I'm very happy I didn't rush to install.

Edit:
I also have the Wagnard's VSR tool right now and I only go up to 1440p and not the 3200 X 1800 I should be able to go up to? I'd install these drivers if I could get that VSR resolution and would probably upgrade my GPU too. Just right now no point when I can only get 1440p.

Just installed the drivers on my 7970 and can only choose up to 1440p. VSR doesn't appear to perform any better or worse than it did using Wagnard's tool.

VSR (only to 1440P) e FRTC working on my 260X but I'm going back to omega because that i'm having a huge mouse cursor bug.

This is part of the reason I didn't purchase the 290x. 1440p VSR limitation isn't worth it as most of the geames I could probably run at 4K. But because VSR is so limited, even BEYOND what AMD publishes, I can't even trust to be able to use the card for it's intended purpose. cool!

Anyone seen this?

Claims of major CPU overhead improvements in this driver!

What are you talking about?
290/290X supports VSR up to 1800p

Wow, I hope it's improved. I'm gonna test it on The Witcher 3. I only had i5 so the fps will tank in Novigrad.
