^ nice!
my 3dmark graphics score went up ~500 points (9500-10000) while running 12.9 drivers on a msi tf3 7950
Bf3 also runs slightly higher fps - I break 70 at times when i would have been around 55-60

I am getting weird flickering issue.

Perhaps it does NOT like saphire trixx?

edit: fixed the flickering when image scaling and itc processing was unchecked.

in SC2, the performance increased quite alot. where I used to get 60fps, now i get 80 and in heavy battles where it dipped below 15s are a bit better at higher teens or low 20s.
I will test more but this driver seems to be great.

Not sure if these are genuine driver improvements or the usual Catalyst benchmark specific driver cheating.

These drivers seem like they're going to be a very good release. Hopefully they will go final soon.

Can't overclock my HD6950 with these drivers and Trixx. Any OC causes screen flickering that won't go away until reboot.

Overclocking with CCC works perfectly though. I suppose I can live with that.

First driver release since 12.4 that have worked properly for me. Can't really tell if its sped things up or not, 7970 is so fast I don't pay a lot of attention any more and I am just playing borderlands at the moment.

All these performance drivers make it seem like GCN has quite a bit of performance left to wring out of it. I didn't expect another boost so soon after 12.8

Well it is entirely brand new architecture. Prior to this we had VLIW4/5 for a few generations. GCN is drastically different, so I'm not surprised that drivers haven't fully optimized for it. My guess is that the 8xxx series will have less improvement over time due to the similarity of its architecture to the 7xxx series.
