For those who suffer from the black screen on resume (which remains unfixed):

From user normychas
1. HDMIOn

2. EDID Monofile Hack

3. HDMI Detective Plus(willing to pay the $130 but reports are saying this isnt working so im not paying $130 bucks for something that doesn't work)

4. Ogre Fix

http://ogre.chaocracy.net/ (this fix seems like it would work but would also cause me to lose a few minutes if i were to turn my tv on while recording a show which doesn't really seem any better than pressing ctrl alt del cancel)

5. HdmiYo Oh-One-Oh

6. Mikinho fix in the thread below but the links are not currently working

No bug fix for the 29/59 stuttering - aside from buying a new board that has one of the latest intel IGPs.

Nice black screen on resume ... or these hundreds/thousands of people in the threads I linked to, and the programmers coming up with solutions, are just goofing off. And my black screen on resume must by an illusion.

I had the black screen on resume from sleep or restarts a few drivers ago. The led poster for my board showed that it was stuck on VGA Bios. Found a VGA resume from sleep ( something like that) in the bios and enabled it and that fixed it for me. This was on a regular LCD, though.

The HDMI thing you all speak of is it that when you're on HDMI output on your TV and switch to your cable to watch TV, then come back to your PC on HDMI the screen just comes on and off (as if the cable was plugged and unplugged every seconds!!??!) for like 10-20 seconds?

No - it's when you put your PC to sleep and when you resume the display will remain black. Some of the common causes seem to be (i) the GPU insisting on EDID but not re-initializing the connection, (ii) the GPU "not really waking" and a couple of others that are listed in the links I posted.

I've been updating cats every month since 8.7 or so and never uninstalled any previous driver before upgrading. No problems so far.
Same here,I've done a format or two since then but basically I just install the new drivers and haven't had any problems.....neither gray screens or resume from sleep issues.
