No, sorry AMD fanatics, AMD is not now (nor will ever be) an option for Apple.
IBM will not buy AMD. They were recently bought out by LENOVO and even those Japanese folks don't want anything to do with AMD !!!
This is REALLY REALLY bad, BAD news for AMD. Intel market share goes up 10%-odd more, AMD slips to 10% or less. They're already strapped for cash and this just might be the nail in the coffins.
Intel has the cash, the capacity, and the brand name. The triple crown goes to INTEL !!!!!
AMD fanatics like to dream, that's for sure.
Shut up you retard, please.
Motion for ban.
Apple, in January, had 3.3% of worlwide PC marketshare. How are Intel going to get a 10% gain for taking part of that 3.3% of Apple marketshare? (Full switchover to Intel predicted to take until 2007, so not all Apple PC's would be Intel until then).
IBM wasn't bought out by Lenovo (who are Chinese, not Japanese by the way), their PC brand was bought up, but IBM are still their own company, make PowerPC chips etc, they just don't sell computers anymore, Lenovo do, with IBM's name.
AMD also posted profit at the end of last financial year I believe.
Oh yeah, and AMD's marketshare increase 1.9% at the last count, with Intel down 0.5%.
