Interesting. As said, I know a few who are using it to provide quick 'hack' solutions that are of the use once and discard variety, but no one that's using it directly for production. The general sentiment I've heard is that it requires a similar amount of guidance and quality of output as a mediocre intern/new hire, aka it doesn't actually save time. So definitely curious to hear about positive, productive experiences.
Also I'd suggest not engaging with those who disagree with any statement that doesn't align with their world view.
No. This might have been true back in early 2025. It hasn't been true since late 2025.
Nope. None of my money does. I use Graviton on AWS, and I don't game on any AMD hardware.

In my domain AI is terrible at almost everything * but then its really really awesome at a few specific things. The only problem is customers rarely want to pay for those specfic things because they dont directly improve business outcomes / profit ( ie you turn it on and nothing changes ).
The problem as i see it with LLM , is not that they arent good, its that the real TAM doesnt match the investment and techbro's really dont understand how the world works. Like sure they got away with uber and airb&b but the second you hit a market where somewhere in the pipeline you hit an SME/systems/safety engineer who has to sign off liability against legislation/standards its unmovable object. Techbro's dont understand just how often this occours in the real world and Its not that thats a problem per say ,but it means far more human involvement and oversight in the entire chain then what our belovered techbro's are telling us.
This isnt even including cost's, AI is still largly someone else's computer, has high input costs, high ongoing costs, wage inflation has been quite low across the developed world, aaS inflation has not. lets not even enter the world of business processes and there imposed limiations.
The other funny one around LLM's is science , in some instances it can be really good. But much of scinence is limited by our ability/cost to test not come up with idea's to test, so LLM's arent nearly as revolutionary and our belovered techro's tell us.
This concludes my semi incoherent ramblings.
* what i do doesnt have good training data , it mostly lives in peoples heads and insitiutation experence, AI isnt even a good search engine for my field.

I am not going to moderate this. Other mods will have to judge things. I also think full transparency is important. And as I have written a number of times, these forums are self policing. Your fellow members make the reports and we moderators discuss them. Legit reports are acted on.
Let's break this down.
You are trying to play the victim card in a vendor thread you are trolling. Here is an analogy that fits the situation. When you go to another team's home stadium, punching fans, or taunt them, and get penalized, or ejected from the stadium, you are not going to get anywhere by complaining they hit you or taunted you back. Which is exactly what you did, and exactly what happened. Had you roasted AMD in an Intel thread, and they hit or taunted you for doing it, moderation would be throwing yellow and red cards at those hitting and taunting you. And ejecting them. That's how it works. It is just that easy. Somehow, everyone but you is managing to do it.
Well, almost everyone. Someone just got a week off for antagonizing the Intel crew here. Also had their thread and some of their posts deleted. It's not your fault you did not know about it, but the members involved doubtless know who it was, and which posts and thread were deleted. As they confronted, and tried to reason with the offender. My personally Sparta kicking the offender into the well for a week does not fit your narrative though. My bad.
It is also the entire reason we instituted the vendor threads are safe spaces rule in the first place. To eliminate bias from the equation. It means you can shake your pom poms for your team, and trash talk the other teams, and those teams fans can't give you flack for it. But here you are, in an AMD thread, taunting and hitting the home crowd. And telling the refs they are fans of the other team for penalizing you for doing it.
None of this is going to penetrate your reality distortion field. It is for the edification of everyone else. Again, transparency. Some would rather this all stay on the down low. But accusations like your's deserve a public response.

I was serious when I said 95% of the code I push to production is written by AI - hoping to at least have an intelligent discussion here.
But nope, I get a troll response. And you supported the response.
I responded the only way I knew how to respond to trolls, troll them back. Since the mods don't do anything about it here.

Just pointing something out for your benefit: it is better if you continue this discussion privately and not in public like you are doing. It clears the thread from unneeded posts and you will be able to discuss to your heart's content without raising eyebrows from moderation.

Amazon had a similar thing going on with a store concept, if I remember right. They kinda killed the idea once they had to admit it wasn't really AI powered.
Yep, and Elon's "robots" (and some in China too) were at first faked with people inside them, and even when they aren't there's no way to know for sure in a demo whether it is really fully autonomous rather than remote control and if it is autonomous how many times they've repeated the demo so it is basically trained 5000x on what is happening on stage.
People hyping AI love to talk about its successes, and they ignore its failures. If you had an employee who would randomly hallucinate stuff when he's messing with important financial spreadsheets you'd fire him pretty quickly. But there's no point in arguing over this stuff too much. It will become clear in the next few years whether the people hyping AI and believe it is more important than the invention of the steam engine are right or those who are pointing out the flaws and fundamental limitations of LLMs are right.
Besides the issue discussed here, I ll respond to the AI thing : maybe we should make a thread about the subject ´cos it is interesting.
I’m a teacher and I’ll fully admit that part of the course (I mean, written reference documents) are AI generated. AI does this quite well even if I need to proof read the whole thing.
Generating little exercises like numbers conversion etc it does very well.
Generating true/false questions though, well true ones are ok but false suggestions are, let’s say imaginative lol.
Let’s make a thread and not polute this one ?

According to this estimate, Q4 was the last quarter where datacenter was less than 1/2 of the contribution to EPS, and from next quarter, datacenter will be > 1/2.
I think they are seriously underestimating embedded and also, gaming in 2027 will see launch of new gen of consoles.
