At present, we note that by the end of the fourth quarter launch two 45nm Phenom X4 processors, the type known as the Phenom X4 20350 and the Phenom X4 20550, will use AM2 + processor interface, the maximum clock up to 3GHz.

HKEPC google translated to English

There's a pretty handy table in the link. Deneb processors ending in "50" will be AM2+, while those ending in "00" will be AM3.

16k for Propus (4core no L3$). 14k for Heka (3core/6MB L3$), 12k for Rana (3core no L3$).

The 3GHz SKU is nice to hear about. Hope its true. No TDP numbers though.

Makes you think the yields of the L3 cache might be flaky with all the lower=end SKU's having no L3 cache (read: disabled anyone?)

I have so much faith in the Deneb quad cores. Nehalem will be out of reach for most of us, the Q8XXX cpus are lacking both stock performance and overclocking ,the Q9XXX are still expensive and the old Q6600 is well.....just too old. ;) AMD might have the best performance/price ratio with these cpus, if they don't screw up!

The Q6600 might be old, but I compared those to the E6600, Phenom 9950 and X2 5400+. In some games the other CPUs were about 20% more powerful than the 5400+ on average. But in reality, I had to pay like twice the price for a 20% improvement. Anyway, I must be rambling for nothing...haha. (Kind of odd the Intel e5200 and X2 6000+ 3.1 GHz came out right after I bought my 5400+.)

I'm not upgrading until they have DDR3 for all platforms.

Eeek... no L3 cache. That'd pretty much make them quad core 512k A64's? I already think Phenom is pretty good, minus it's power consumption. My guess is Denab will be pretty good, I bet it does better then expected. I just wouldn't expect a 4850/4870 situation all over again. ;)

What the hell is so funny?????

Well two parts:

AMD to launch 45nm AM2 + processor solution embarrassed AM3 processors 45W fourth quarter of the extended exposure of its nuclear program

And I think Intel and AMD are hiring marketing people from the same pool. What kind of naming scheme is this?

Definitely hired from the same school of thought...and with the way layoffs and rehires work they could very well be ex-employees from the other camp.

Someone once pointed out to me the stark correlation between AMD's processor names and Gillette shavers. Fusion, Phenom, etc...number of cores correlating with number of blades on the shaver. Funny stuff.

So I guess this means there will soon be a Gillette X4 20350 coming to a store near you!

I want a shaver with 4 actual blades but can work as if there were 8!

Meh, I'd rather overclock my arm and shave twice as fast with a single-quad blade shaver.

Sure it'll probably get a lot hotter from friction, but that heat will synergistically cauterize the extra cuts and nicks that I'll inevitably generate as I loose precision during the overclock. It'll be a win-win!

Gosh, that reminds me of the freaky idea I had to build a transparent computer with orange Nexus fans. Now I'm thinking about including weird smells just to make it even more freaky. :)

Yes, that google translation from Chinese is pretty funny. I didn't know AMD had a nuclear program. :D

well if they did, you-know-who will be on the top of the soon-to-be nuked list. :]

How about an automated AXE body sprayer?

The comments are funny. I love weird translations.

Structure has not changed but they are all pumped up enough Core
Anyway!!! Anyway, refueling!!!

AMD, to return to Taiwan to do good to you

No one told you to buy both versions of the most-used to live in the future consult the CPU is fine old frame your classes early enough LGA775 users suffer?

Computer knowledge must not only know more than 20,550 with the Core i7 still a large!

AMD eye-catching, some consumers do not know the real wild buy large numbers of D models

This makes me think of that game 'Red Alert', where in MP you could wipe out huge amounts of infantry with one A-Bomb :)

Does anyone here like the idea of 5 digits?

Why not something like AMD Phenom2 X4 9800 (50 for AM3+)? So its a second generation phenom X4 processor with the last 4 digits indicating its stepping/speed etc. Id say ending it with a 50 for AM3+ sounds more logical. But we all know how "logical" the marketing teams are nowadays with naming schemes.

Well, if they're totally illogical, they should just get insane and just start calling the processors fart, poop and vomit. lol, sorry for being inappropriate but I couldn't resist. :D

you know the extra blades don't make the shaving any faster or better, the each blade LODGES and PULLS on the hair, until the last one cuts, and when it does it snaps back UNDER the skin (because the previous blades pulled it out)...
The end result is ingrown hairs and bumps.

As for the Q6600 being old... so is sex as a means of reproduction. If something works, and works better then other options, why replace it? New =! better.

But old is not sexy, unless you are Ashton Kutcher.

I love my Q6600's, but they are no longer sexy. That's why I moved them from my office to the basement. Bitches be working just as hard as ever, but I don't have to look them in the eye anymore. Just as it should be. ;) Time for the new sexy bitches, Deneb and Nehalem, come!

Umm, it works this way in real life, also.;)

Agreed. Wait, I must be getting old. Don't you young guys say "+1", when you agree with someone?
