I agree it's kinda slow, really hoping to just see the Tonga annoucement, but the Tom's hardware guy I just had an OMG nostalgia moment when he mentioned the ATI all in wonder. Yeah I use to play games and watch TV on that :)

I had an all in wonder card, that thing was a pain in the backside. Most of the drivers for it were hopeless, they didn't work, I had tonnes of crashes. I never had that card working properly. I have no nostalgia for that card!!! My 9500 pro on the other hand was awesome.

So 6 picks of AMD CPUs for people to build machines for other people with. Umm OK.

I had two AllInWonder cards. My first AllInWonder Pro AGP card was great once you added a 3DFX VooDoo 2 add-in board to make up for it's medicore 3D performance.

My second AllInWonder 9800 Pro card was rubbish, though. Every time I updated the video card drivers, it broke the TV tuner support unless you updated all of those programs as well. After the fourth or fifth time in 18 months of having to spend two hours reinstalling everything, I bagged it and got an NVidia GeForce card along with a separate TV tuner card.

AMD marketing strikes again. Ridiculous as aways.

Seems that the only new thing will be the 285.

They had the windmill demo again - still fixed FPS by the looks of thing.

They are saying it works in all games.

The Fixer, finishing on a low note then. This is one of AMDs worst marketing inventions.

"....The good and the green" instead of the good and the bad. Seriously? Another cheap shot at a competitor. AMD you really don't need to sink that low. Just sell your own products and stopping digging at your competition, its getting really old.

Not gonna watch the stream, but it doesn't seem like a huge improvement to me versus the 280, esp since the 280 comes with 3 GB of ram.

And its finished.

A pair of new processors in September (yawn inducing), a 285 which isn't very impressive and a minor improvement to the never settle bundle to include star citizen with a racer ship and some other space game.

Lots and lots of little niggly complaints about their competitor which really annoyed me. A waste of a couple of hours.

its 2 gb or 4gb. im pretty sure he initially mention both options

Are the 4 GB cards going to be in the 280's price range though? Unless there's real architectural improvements you are talking about a card which is slightly faster and a very tiny decrease in TDP but you are either going to have to pay more or take less memory.

Heh... the inclusion of Star Citizen may actually win me over! :awe::awe:

I'm a big fan of AMD, i'm glad they are releasing this information.

Hopefully they will release something new today or very soon so I can look into obtaining it.

That's correct, starting at ~$249. Grab your 280s now!

Ouch. Thats a pretty sad card to battle for the next year forward. I cant believe they cheaped down to 5.5Ghz memory when they already went down to 256bit.
