I would imagine it would work with any laptop that takes PC133 144 pin SODIMM.

$30.75 is a good price for people not living in california.
too bad they charge tax in california, which will bring it to over $33.
for me it would be the same since i got 2% back from ebates for amazon purchase.

well considering googlegear ships 2nd day Fedex compare to Amazon's free shipping which could take more than a week, I would go for the kingston.

People, Please do not buy the PNY 256MB PC133, especially if you have an older laptop.

I have an IBM Thinkpad P3 laptop and I ordered this last month.
It was incompatable.

Then I got a Centon 256MB PC133 deal at CC. This time around I took the precaution of contacting Centon's CS.
(one of their engineers replied promptly and assured me that unline PNY (which uses high density cheaper chips), they use backward compatable ones....

Works great on mine!

I have an IBM t21 which takes pc100 cl2... I got the centon deal from OD awhile back thinking that pc133 cl3 would be ok @ pc100 cl2, but it causes problems at times - thats why I was wondering if the pny was cl2 or not...

I cannot find any Kingston So Dimm on Googlegear. The only 256MB Kingston Memory I can find on Googlegear is the Kingston 256MB PC133 CL3 DIMM Memory Retail
Googlegear Part#: 80309-K
In Stock: YES
Manufacturer: KINGSTON
Manufacturer SKU: KVR133X64C3/256
Our Price: $29.90

But this is NOT a SoDimm, it's a regular old 168-Pin DIMM 3.3v.

If anyone finds the Kingston Ram that AphexII is talking about, could you please post it? Thanks.

OK so I bought the HP ze1210 that a whole bunch of people got from staples . . . I looked on their site and they don't mention CL2 vs. CL3 . . . from my understanding of desktops (correct me if I'm wrong) if you put a CL3 chip in with a CL2 chip, they will both just have the initial lag equivalent to a CL3 chip, which IMHO, doesn't change jack crap for most people . . . especially for what I'm gonna be using my laptop for . . . but just seeing if anybody had any remarks regarding laptops in this regard . . . or about the HP 1210 in general (or any HP 1000 series laptop).

Thanks . . .

The memory in the ze1210 is cl3. The kingston memory that is currently listed at $30 is also cl3 and works fine in the ze1210. It was actually $27 a week ago when I got it. With free 2 day shipping at kingston it is the best deal currently for upgrading the memory on the ze1210.

when there is compatibility issue, will you know it right away or it might happen intermittently?

More than likely, your laptop wont even post.
